    Hi Di ;)

Yes your right its the dreaded first plus loan

with promises of cash back but of course no proper explanation that if you were lucky to get that money back you would still be paying for the insurance for a further 20 years.

I did repay the loan in May 2007 and i have a complaint with FOS regarding unfair rebate with first plus

This complaint with norton is for the mis-selling of the first plus loan but i am sure that norton just passed OH on to First plus after initial phone calls so perhaps i could try and send details of the mis-selling info to FOS along with the unfair rebate?

    Hi hun.;)

My letter also confirms that its not confirmed yet as Twopart/eloan are in default, so yep its a waiting game hun, look at it this way though, the way the claims are rising in these cases that are with the FOS it would more than likely be the same waiting time, so not to worry......:D .
I think the FSCS will get in touch with these companies and the liquidators and get as much information as they can from them to make sure we cannot get anything direct from them first.

Does your form give you until 14th Feb 2009 to get this back in to the FSCS hun ? hey isn't that Valentines day ? lol....:D .
Am determined to get mine posted by Monday.;)

How are you getting on with it ?
Any probs hun, just ask ;) .

Yes not too bad, should be able to post Monday and yes mine was 14th Feb.
Have found the Statement of demands and needs and in the section of needs
it says hospitalisedfor 7 days will pay loan repayments . But in the small print at the back it says hospitalisation cover is only available fom 65 to 70
we were 37 and 43 !! Should I point this out on my form?

    Hi hun.:p

they make this so damn difficult don't they ?

As far as I'm concerned they are in it together and I bet the paperwork you do have is all labelled with First plus ??? .

If you do complain to the FOS do not mention about the mis selling, if you go back some posts me Marshallks, Tiggrae, Singlep and some others have been discussing some issues here, such as my loan was arranged by the brokers who have dissolved so I cannot go for the mis selling but realise the rebate I had with the lenders of Endeavour was so small, so I am going for the "unfair rebate" with the lenders instead.

I do not want to give you the wrong information hunni but you may note by reading back on these posts there are mixed reactions on this, but it does not harm to try to reclaim on an unfair rebate, but you will need to go through this as a brand new complaint and not to mention anything about being mis sold and only that of an "unfair rebate settlement".

Its up to you hun or maybe see what the others suggest here first.;)

Could anyone advise what my next step should be if I receive a negative answer on my PPI reclaim incl interest from Welcome. The chap investigating has said he was re-looking at my case yesterday. I've put forward a good case but can't go through FOS as it was 2003.
I'm definate about being mis-sold so just need advice on what I do and what the cost to me will be. Incidentally I was refused and now it is being re-investigated after a further letter. The compliance guy seems quite helpful and left me a message yesterday that he had my case himself and would complete it asap. Thanks guys

    Hi there Shamrock.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you hun.
I am also in the same position here as mine was not registered.
And also because its about mis selling the firm was not covered in order for the FOS to deal with this.

Although you may be lucky with the loan company, another one of my claims was regarding a loan/ppi mis selling that was taken out in 2003 and there were no arguments, I also put in a good case.
I would see what the response would be first hun and take it from there, and could you check if the company were covered by GISC, if so you can go forward with the FOS if they are because the FSA did not take over until Jan 2005 as you know.

I will be looking at taking court action if my complaints that are not covered by the FOS are not resolved, I have not looked that far into it yet but maybe someone here could advise you on that bit hun.;)

I do hope you get the response you want and win this.;)
