Getting there with the form, filled in all the nitty gritty bits but will write drafts in rough before adding it in the form to make sure nothing is missed.

Have lots of paperwork to dig out thoughphoto-copying for and think that will take the longest.

Will not post this until Monday now though by 1st class recorded delivery.;)

With a bit of luck the form should reach them by the Tuesday.:D
Then its then a waiting game which can even take up to six months, quite similar to the FOS really, can take longer, yet when you think of the waiting with the FOS now as they are overloaded with these complaints.......there is not much difference at all I don't think.;)

Good luck Di, hope this gets you the result you'r e looking for, I am finding some
of the form hard going I mean the time I knew I was unhappy with the PPI earlier than when I knew I could make a claim and I don't think I have a Statement of Demands and Needs but really don't wannt to get this wrong or give mis information and ruin my case:o

Well if its a premium paid monthly then you cannot make a claim for an unfair rebate.
Thank you, didn't realise that but it was worth a try. Will keep going with charges. Thanks again. Jo

Good luck to you hun too.;)

Some little bits I have found quite awkward too.... and that bit too hun, I would just add you have learnt about the mis selling in the media which I expect this is how you did learn about this, like us here, then checked through the paperwork you do have and realised you have been mis sold,(write an approx date), with mine we did realise earlier in the year but both me and hubby were not well enough to carry on with the claims then but have since requested the SAR paperwork where I realised we also had grounds for complaint here even though the ombudsman did mention something on another complaint that we were free to pursue this company due to the mis selling, this was when we were dealing with the lenders of the 2nd loan and was told to pursue the brokers separately, which is about this one now.

If you've no statement of demands and needs hun, just send what you have and if they need to investigate further they will check this out, so I would send a copy of the agreement for one.;)
Total of calculations and breakdown etc.;)

Just explain on section E/Q7 as fully as possible, and try to remember what you can from when you first had this policy, and give them your reasons why you believe you were mis sold and if you feel that the ppi was not suitable etc.;)

I'm sure if they require further information they will contact you and give you a chance to explain.

Have you a copy of a letter which confirms that Picture has dissolved etc ?
If so a copy of that will do.;)

    Hi hun.;)

My letter also confirms that its not confirmed yet as Twopart/eloan are in default, so yep its a waiting game hun, look at it this way though, the way the claims are rising in these cases that are with the FOS it would more than likely be the same waiting time, so not to worry......:D .
I think the FSCS will get in touch with these companies and the liquidators and get as much information as they can from them to make sure we cannot get anything direct from them first.

Does your form give you until 14th Feb 2009 to get this back in to the FSCS hun ? hey isn't that Valentines day ? lol....:D .
Am determined to get mine posted by Monday.;)

How are you getting on with it ?
Any probs hun, just ask ;) .

    Hi there AC.;)
On no...... , there's a lot of these cases coming up hun....... , you have probably already said hun, but is this settled and when ?;)

Right so I assume it was FP that sold you this loan/ppi then hun, now wasn't these registered ?
You maybe able to pursue through them if they arranged and sold you this hun ?;)

  • Hi - they are sending a cheque and arranging a reduced loan for the remaining monies owed. briefly thought of putting it towards paying off the loan, but have decided to pay some bills and get rid of the credit cards instead. They have to send the new docs (within 14 days) and after they are received back at HBOS, they'll send the cheque within another 14 days. Looking at a good month or so, but a result all the same!

Arh just realised, I have this the wrong way round, it was Norton who arranged this hun wasn't it ?
Wonder if they were covered by GISC then ?

Check this link out hun, someone else in the same situation as yourself, think they are also waiting for some answers about where to go from here too.

Please remind me, was this about the mis selling or the rebate hun ?
    Cheers.;)
