Got my court date through for my case against the Halifax for 30th Sept 08.

It should make no difference because once this has been upheld in your favour with the FOS, they will have to put this right anyway, as if you did not have the PPI from the start, so all ppi premiums paid should be repaid to you plus 8% interest of what a court would award, surprising really, it all adds up hun.;)

once you are with an adjudicator it really picks up pace so it looks like you will hear something soon.

Hi hun

If you can prove you are strugging this also comes into it, financially, with me when going through mine, I did actually send copies of my bank statement to prove my financial hardship, so it all comes into it.;)

You should also be given a chance by the FOS to forward any extra information, but in the meantime, you can contact them to explain your struggling, perhaps making ends meet.

With mine though it was towards the end of the complaint I had realised this, so was a little late really but what they did suggest was extra compo on top to compensate for all the stress this caused throughout the time, from the other party.;)

Give them a ring tomorrow and enquire about the hardship etc, it maybe worth your while.

If you are not on benefits but have bills piling up or trouble paying for your house etc then they may fast track it for you. Give them a call again and see what they say. Can't do any harm.

I sent copies ofmy bank statement and credit card statements with a covering letter and requested to be fast tracked I think we were fast tracked cos we got our adjudicator the following week after sending info with request.

Check out this PPI calculator, its cool and very helpful I think folks.
Gives us something to do lol......:D

Not sure how accurate this is, but maybe if you have already have workings out on others you could compare them to see how accurate they are, but well worth checking out for new reclaims too.:D

I have sent off my letter requesting refund of charges for my Barclaycard and putting together a letter about the ppi ( draft in a previous post) dont know wether you have seen it but it is basic so not sure how to put a punch in it and does it need one cos I have feeling it will go to FOS anyway.

Hi hun.

Yes this is a complicated case eloan/nemo.....:o , but have since found other calculation breakdowns where I think this at first confused the FOS when trying to sort out the advance complaint.
I have come across less rebate figures now.....:rolleyes: .

Your letter looks cool hun and well covered, well done, was meant to add this in a post earlier.;)

I wish you luck with this hunni - everything crossed.
