thanks mike...i don't have the t+c's anymore....would the bank still be able to or be obliged to provide me with that information if i asked them for it?

They might do it our of the kindness of their hearts, but banks are getting very dubious of people requesting mortgage offers due to reclaiming mortgage exit fees. They are meant to have to keep documents for 3 years after the end of your contract with them, therefore if you redeemed the mortgage within the last 3 years, they should still have all your details.

If they don't give it for free, then you will have to submit a subject access request (£10).

Wow Di, did you have to fight for it because it looks like people are going to automatically get their money back with interest as well now

As part of the redress package agreed by LVBS, the interest paid on the PPI premium will be refunded automatically, without the customers having to write to the firm and make a claim. The firm will be writing to its PPI customers asking them to review the terms of their PPI policy and offering to pay full redress where appropriate. LVBS agreed to extend the scope of its redress proposals to include a review of all PPI offered via telephone, internet or post between 14 January 2005 and 31 January 2008. This remedial action has been taken into account by the FSA and has significantly reduced the level of penalty which would otherwise have been imposed on the firm.

I wish other companies would follow suit here.

Calling all Liverpool Victoria Banking service claimants

Hi hun, it had only taken 3 weeks approx, no quibbles, nothing, so yes I would recommend others to get claiming too, if they do not hear even if their claims were before the dates they state.;)
Mine was sorted about 2 months ago.;)

I first requested a SAR, they could not supply me with the terms and conditions, in fact when asked they did not know what I was talking about, they only supplied me with 3 sheets of paperwork, which was the copy of the letter of when we had the unsecured loan in 2003, and a unregulated agreement.

But as mine was earlier than the dates shown in their write up, I gather these would be refunded most of the amount, my refund was just over £1,500 with 8 % interest, will check these out and post up.;)

    Di.

If only they were all so easy as this, mine with LV was very easy and considering then it was 2003 it was taken, they did not hesitate to pay out.

Here is the link/document of the FSA update on Liverpool Victoria.;)

I thought HFC were fined by the FSA and now it seems that the judge is on their side. I really feel for you:mad:

I know nothing of your case but have you considered joining the class action against HFC by Clyde and Co, solicitors? Key Clyde+ppi and remember HFC has already been fined by FSA.
