I just rang my capital one credit card and cancelled my PPI, when i ask about getting the money back they said that i won't get it back.

I did ask who to talk to and got a number for AXA insurance, don't know if its right as i couldn't hear them 0845 641 9648.

My question is can i still get the money back, as it was something i never even need or would of used. Any advice on what my best approach is, I only been paying for it since January this year.
Axa credit card insurance renewal is 01412219990 (got off saynoto0870)

    It might help.

Just been reading my letters to this Bespoke again and noticed that i made a comment where they said they had looked into my complaint and replied to it before even tracking down the records.

I now think that maybe when he says about "acceptable resolution" he means that they have looked into this and still find nothing wrong that they have done and therefore he gives his final response. I note that he used acceptable and not favourable.

I think i got my hopes up a little too soon. I made a complaint about "not being able to look into this complaint" and now they can say they have.I was also told by the MD at Freedom 3 nights ago that they could not see anything that they had done wrong. Forget the celebrations for yet. I think this is going to go on and on.

Oh this is so blummin frustrating its doing my head in. Why could he not send the response by email as well as post it. I feel that whereby he tells me he will out on holiday for 10 days its giving me time to cool down before i get back in touch. I started to celebrate too soon i thinks....

I think it may be the courts here i come.

email him back to say please send it by mail in the mean time because of the expected delivery time
I think they are going to offer something but maybe as a peace offering not the full wack if it was a no get stuffed he wouldnt have said he is available after his jollies to discuss it-its not a final response yet
but it all adds upto building case against them

I would only accept what is right and fair. This company still misleads people and i think that that still needs to be addressed by someone in the authorities. Lets hope someone has taken notice.

I see other people on this site are having ppi on credit cards looked at. Why not ring again and speak to another advisor. Maybe they had it wrong or you could of interpreted it wrong. Make it clear it was PPI.

The FO should look at store cards now - but probably only those taken out after 15.01.05 (most are under GE Money) who were not regulated until 15.01.05 - if they are bank credit cards the FO should look at them as to when that particular bank came under their jurisdiction

    Hi alleybabes.

Good luck with this hun, I'm sure these are more than likely passed on to the adjudicator now, sometimes they can take a little while and they can vary, have they kept you up to date since Feb ?

    just thought
the calculation might be to put you in the position if you had not had ppi so it could be interest from the start of the loan( 8years interest.)
ask Tiggrae she might give more accurate time scale of when the8percent starts and stops
    Laini xx:j
the 8% is worked out on a daily rate basis against each individual premium paid, so the longer ago the premium was paid the more statutory (ie 8%) interest is paid - the calculation is

(0.0002222 x premium) x number of days elapsed since paid

or use the bank charges calculator on the bank charges forum - it works out the statutory interest against the date each premium was paid for you
