    Hi everyone,

You do the 8% statutory interest calculation on each individual payment you made. I recommend you use Martin's calculator on the reclaim bank charges information site outside of the forum.
Hi m colak, nice to see you back:j

Yes always get a breakdown of the figures before you accept as you may get disproportionally rebated elsewise.

hopefully someone can help me with this. i had/have a lloydstsb credit card. when i ran into difficulties some time ago they closed the account. obviously i still have to pay the outsatnding balance. when i checked my t&c's i noticed that when the account was closed any insurance (ppi) was invalidated, when i challenged this they said no refunds were due but they would stop charging the premiums. question is do i have a claim?

    Good afternoon folks.;)

Looking back through all the information of the SAR sent from nemo, (even though I have already won on the advance claim), I will be soon pursuing a claim request through their brokers from when we first had the loan.

Well anyway I came across a factsheet of PPP, this was to find out what insurances we did and didn't have when going through the sale of the loan, when it came to PPI the comment made was "they tried to cancel this completely, and I managed to talk them out of it".

If I had requested the SAR when I first tried pursuing these, it would not have taken a year, Im sure of it if the FOS was provided a copy of this when I sent off further evidence at the time, then say no more this would of said it all, it was also signed by the loan adviser too !
(Even though the ombudsman did also have a copy of telephone recordings, where he picked up on this) !

I have obviously learnt since that a SAR plays a very important part of when trying to pursue these claims/complaints, so my personal opinion would be to always request these, you never know what you may find that will help push this further if this goes as far as the FOS stage.

Through my own experience of this I do always SAR now for anything. well worth it I think.;)

They are both GE Money - BHS and Debenhams although I do have an Adams aswell and they have said that although I was paying them they are not responsible for the insurance and I need to contact Stonebridge International. Did you get that?
