If they haven't satifactorily worked out the figures and / or you want the money repaid to you rather than off your loan, get back in touch with your adjudicator at the FOS - email should be fine - and get them to put pressure on Barclays

    Hi Tiggrae,

I have not sent any paper work to F.O.S. was not too sure now to do that, still a bit of a newbie,

Do i just send all the paper work to them with a covering letter

    Thanks

    hi,

I wish i had done this when back in march when i realised about the mis-sold ppi with barclays....

will download all forms, will send all copies of letters from barclays too..

The woman from the barclays customer relations team, is not going to budge at all.. My OH, spoke to her today she kept repeating over and over again the same thing, made us look stupid and dump!!! It's like she was trying to say it's her way or NO WAY!!!

Got letter from FOS today re Bank of Scotland PPI they have not admitted to mis-selling but are prepared to reimburse me PPI plus 8% interest. FOS have asked me to sign a form and send it back but it does not have an amount or breakdown of payment. So what am I signing? If I sign does this mean I have to take an offer I think may be unfair? Very confused!

Dont panic! The FOS is there to ensure fair play. They will see that you get the correct rebate and will be available to discuss this with you if you have any concerns. I got the same letter last Friday re the same company. Sign it and send back asap.

Would you say i could win though Tiggrae. I would love to hand it over now. I am sooo blummin frustrated with it and I want to continue the Freedom fight as i think i may have a better chance there. There is also the wage thing that i feel is something that maybe illegal by them. I will be back later as i have to go out now but thanks for the offer and i will take it up after hearing from Freedom.

  • hi all. In 2002 i foolishly took out a loan with welcome finance for £5000. I was in a bad financial position young naive and gullible.

after ppi the £5k loan turned into £11.5k. I took on more than i could afford at the time and defaulted.

After burying my head in the sand re this account for a few years and striking an agreement to pay back £20 a month (after already paying back £3500) I have finally bucked my ideas up and decided to sort this out.

Asked for my initial contract and am now gutted I did not turn this down on the figures I have seen. £3500 is made up of ppi (this includes credit interest and setting up fee etc).

AAfter speaking to a real nice chap at welcome (threw in the Office of fair trading and financial ombudsman) and he said they could settle for about 35% of the balance. I could manage that and finally get this out my hair but the question i ask is this.

After settling the account (about £2800) could i reclaim the £3500 PPI and proper stick two fingers up at them at the same time??

Please please could you all give your input before i proceed with settling the account.

Thanks for all your posts aand advice I am taking them all on board.

P.S was told I couldnt take out the finance without the PPI and a fully comp cover note

    Morning All,
Started PPI reclaim against Capital One credit card in April, straight awat received final response from them, sent compalint form to FOS in May, and yesterday received a letter from FOS to say that they had allocated an adjudicator. Does any one know how long after this the whole thing takes for complaint to be upheld or rejected?
