Cheers hunni, I don't think she has been on yet......but I expect she will reply with something.;)
What was the email about... Is it about the wider implications as is already being considered by the FOS anyway...

    Hi
I wrote my first letter to Egg last week and received a response yesterday saying they were disappointed I had complained and someone will call me to discuss this with me and they have 8 weeks to reply etc etc.
Should I ask them to cancel my PPI in the meantime or wait until I am hopefully further down the line?
    Thanks
Was this on a loan or credit card here. Cancel if its on the card but sometimes if this is a loan you have to redo the loan and to cancel the PPI and you get very little back anyway...

I have emailed T hodginson the guy i dealt with at fisa no reply yet. Think I will write again its worth a try. I was thinking of trying to word my complaint a bit different ref new things I have just learnt about my ppi. I have just realised that the ppi was joint but only covered my husband and only me for life cover, did not know until reading through kaias posts and malucs

Like you say I have learnt loads more since being on here again.

Thank you to everyone on here for all your help, you have all made me realise that its not just happening to me, thanks so much
Dreamer, I am not being negative here to you. I believe you were missold but I also believe that you may have left it too late for the courts even. The more time you leave it now then again its all going against you. You have to start the complaint and keep at it. I know its stressful and I have spent many a night sat up til 3 going over various laws and acts.

I am only being honest here... You need to get someone to help you professional...

Write again to Freedom too and get them to reply to you again... Also why not make an appointment with one of their managers or something...
  • Righty-ho, got a letter from the FOS yesterday in which they've said that they have everything they need from me in relation to my complaint about Sainsburys and their failure to provide a CCA which contained the prescribed terms and conditions and also miss-sold PPI cover:

"..... now waiting to be passed to an Adjudicator.

As soon as this happens, the adjudicator will be in touch with you, to explain the next step and to ask for any further information they may need from you".

Looks like I may get a decision sooner rather than later. Does anyone know what the likely timescale of this is or exactly what happens next????
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Dreamer had added a post here yesterday with a copy of what was sent to Wendy, just to see if Wendy herself and/or Martin has anything to say about this.;)

Are they actually looking into the prescribed terms etc...Have they told you this in writing... Prescribed terms on the agreement is a Consumer credit complaint and this was a thing that the FOS can only look into if the credit agreement was after April 2007..or if the firm was actually authorised by the FSA...

    Hellooooo there.....:D
Things are moving on there, good.;)

Right timescales will vary, but I do know as soon as its passed onto the Adjudicator, they get on to it more or less straight away, they then request info from the other party, they give them a few weeks for this, they do hope the firm will come up with an offer before going any further, if not then they start adjudicating properly, for instance, if the firm do not agree that the case should be upheld the adjudicator will see if there is anything they think they should raise and then normally give them a fortnight.

I am going by my case at the moment that is actually with the adjudicator right now (lloyds TSB credit card ppi).

If still unsuccessful, it then moves onto the ombudsman himself, but by reading some, some have been moved on to yet another adjudicator.

    So this can vary.

My last case that was with the FOS had taken 14 months from start to finish as it was very complex.

With a bit of luck you will hear very soon and hopefully successful, good luck!

Editing back in, sorry if I have mis read your post, I taken it you meant the timescales of the FOS etc.

    Di.
