Di, on the FSCS web site they have said how they will sort out the savings of the customers of the icelandic banks.
Hope this means they will now get back to looking at OUR claims!0 -
Hi
I wrote my first letter to Egg last week and received a response yesterday saying they were disappointed I had complained and someone will call me to discuss this with me and they have 8 weeks to reply etc etc.
Should I ask them to cancel my PPI in the meantime or wait until I am hopefully further down the line?
ThanksNyks Interest Beater £29/£2600 -

Dreamer was aware in 2004...Kaia and Marcluc had the same probs here but both won before the actual court case. It really may be worth it here otherwise if they leave it any longer (personally I think its been left too long anyway here as its over 4 years since first complaining and they can use the limitations act and even section 32 would not apply here) they will never know..
This is why you have to keep on fighting as you are given a small amount of time to get it all sorted and if its too stressful then you have to hand it over to someone like Tiggrae...
Thanks hun.;)
Have you heard from Tiggrae at allThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Yes my Aunt said something like the first 2 weeks of November that they were told they would hear.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Dreamer, is it worth contacting FISA again as a long shot. A lot more is known about PPI mis selling since 2004/2005 and maybe they can look at it in a different light especially as I think you were mis sold.
I know it may have been a while since you became aware but its only 2008 that most other people have thanks to the media.
It would only be the price of a stamp and look at how much you have learned to back up your case since 2004/2005.
I have emailed T hodginson the guy i dealt with at fisa no reply yet. Think I will write again its worth a try. I was thinking of trying to word my complaint a bit different ref new things I have just learnt about my ppi. I have just realised that the ppi was joint but only covered my husband and only me for life cover, did not know until reading through kaias posts and malucs
Like you say I have learnt loads more since being on here again.
Thank you to everyone on here for all your help, you have all made me realise that its not just happening to me, thanks so much:wave:0 -

It makes no difference to your claim whether you cancel or not. Though if it is no use to you then best cancel it, sorry is this loan / credit card?DS1 12/10/04

Hi Sammy
Do not worry, and if they try to phone you tell them you will not dicuss these issues on the phone, everything must be in writing.;)
The option is yours to cancel, if you are successful, you will receive every penny back anyway, but keep fighting them hun and do not let them try to put you off from doing this, this is your money and if the cover is worthless to you there is no point in having this.
Not sure if they would have to reschedule this, like take a new loan without the PPI, these loan companies vary, or they may just reduce your payments a little, but there is no point in having the insurance if you are not eligible for it, and even so you could always find your own suitable stand alone cover.;)
Good luck, and yes they must respond within 8 weeks but as I said earlier in this post, do not discuss these issues over the phone, because in writing its evidence if you need it.;)
