    Hi

I just called the FLA to ask if Freedom Finance were regulated by them in 2004. The info she has at the moment is they are potentially a client of theirs, but could not go back to 2004, but has advised me to use their complaint form to see if they can help. Fingers crossed.

Thank you so much I'm sure I have looked at these before but maybe not.

Will let you know, go to go and help out at my sons school now lol will check this out this pm.

    Thanks so much again.

Well done and you hopefully it will go your way, I do think by the time they read your complaint, they will consider looking into this for you.

They would not have said to fill in the form otherwise.

I wish you all the luck in the world and hope something comes of this in a good way.:T

Everything crossed and we look forward to hearing the outcome of this.

    Peeps...

As I said earlier I got a prompt reply from HFC bank saying they are looking into my complaint. Am I right in thinking they still have 8 weeks to rectify the situation or as they have replied is there a new time scale?

    Thanks

    Hi there hun
And yes they have 8 weeks to respond with a full outcome of your complaint.
This is what the FOS give in their timescales to respond.
Hopefully it will be before with good news.;)

    good luck

I understand how you feel hun due to some of mine.

Now I expect you have already checked but do you know if they were covered by GISC when you had taken out the loan ?

Sometimes these firms have not mentioned this on their refusal letters and I think the FOS will be able to confirm this to you.

Apologies if you have already checked this out hunni.;)
No Di, they were not covered by the GISC then...

They only have 8 weeks from your first letter to them...not from when they wrote to you.

So why don't FISA think you have been mis sold ??[/quote

Can't quite remember would have to get their letter out, which I'm going to do again because can't let it go.

Firstly all the telephone calls were not recorded apparently until mid Jan 04 also there were calls missing to back me up fully. Ref having to hurry up and sign because of changes but could not explain them. I have since explained this to FISA to ask for this to be found.

He also stated that I should query the single premium but did not explain why I should query it. (I have since emailed them to ask them to look into it again due to the media attention PPI has gathered)

I will get the letter this pm and let you know.

Can't believe they were not regulated and sold credit and PPI without due care and attention.
Freedom finance were not regulated by anyone at the time of your loan but I do know that two people on here with loans of similar times to yours won their cases through the courts with them. Their names are Kaia and Marcluc and both won in the very last minute with Freedoms solicitors backing down. It may be worth the courts here...

How much would it cost me though? I really can't afford this route. Was thinking of using those no win no fee people?
