So why don't FISA think you have been mis sold ??[/quote

Can't quite remember would have to get their letter out, which I'm going to do again because can't let it go.

Firstly all the telephone calls were not recorded apparently until mid Jan 04 also there were calls missing to back me up fully. Ref having to hurry up and sign because of changes but could not explain them. I have since explained this to FISA to ask for this to be found.

He also stated that I should query the single premium but did not explain why I should query it. (I have since emailed them to ask them to look into it again due to the media attention PPI has gathered)

I will get the letter this pm and let you know.

Can't believe they were not regulated and sold credit and PPI without due care and attention.

I understand how you feel hun due to some of mine.

Now I expect you have already checked but do you know if they were covered by GISC when you had taken out the loan ?

Sometimes these firms have not mentioned this on their refusal letters and I think the FOS will be able to confirm this to you.

Apologies if you have already checked this out hunni.;)

    Hi there hun
Sorry to hear you have had an ordeal with these.
    Pushed from pillar to post.

Just a suggestion and I know you have had enough of this by now, but have you actually tried contacting the FSA and see what they have to say about them......or maybe the OFT.
Not sure if they can help in any way but they may be able to point you in the right direction.

I did not actually realise that FISA looks into complaints, that one is new on me.
Yet maybe they can just give their opinion - not sure.

And hun most of us here have fell into that trap, and ripped off big time by these companies.......

I have not had the chance to read through properly yet but wasn't they covered by FSA or GISC when you had taken out the loan ?

I will try to think of other suggestions here and I know you are probably feeling really fed up of this by now, its hard not knowing which direction to turn.
What about the FLA ? (Financial Leasing Association)? wonder if they are able to help ?

FOS have told me they were not a member of GISC unfortunately, FSA only regulated them in jan 05.

I have been trying to get it back since 2004 but have had to let it lie at times because it is very stressful and does take over your life. But I always come back fighting because I believe there is always an answer somewhere.

Not sure if I tried FLA. Will have a look? Thanks

Dont give up yet, we will help all we can Di and Marshallka are brilliant.
It would help if we knew when you first tried to claim and if you had contacted the FSA to see who they were regulated by. Though it sounds like you have done eveything.

Thanks for confirming this hun and its a damn shame isn't it ?

Being mis sold, I think we should all have rights to have our complaints looking at.

The FLA will check their systems to see if they have these on there, and if they have they should be able to help you.;)

    Hi

I just called the FLA to ask if Freedom Finance were regulated by them in 2004. The info she has at the moment is they are potentially a client of theirs, but could not go back to 2004, but has advised me to use their complaint form to see if they can help. Fingers crossed.

Thank you so much I'm sure I have looked at these before but maybe not.

Will let you know, go to go and help out at my sons school now lol will check this out this pm.

    Thanks so much again.

    Peeps...

As I said earlier I got a prompt reply from HFC bank saying they are looking into my complaint. Am I right in thinking they still have 8 weeks to rectify the situation or as they have replied is there a new time scale?

    Thanks
