I would like some advice regarding reclaiming ppi from Egg, I understand that it is a little more difficult to claim back ppi when credit cards have been applied for online
I looked at my agreement and I actually ticked the box stating I understand that I am purchasing the card repayment protection. I cannot remember if it was pre ticked? I would just like to know if i would stand a chance reclaming?
    I have cancelled the protection.
If anyone could help that would be great

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon All,
Just been looking at my DW's car insurance from budget and noticed that they have included PPI on top of her car insurance, has anyone heard of this and is it possible to reclaim, as this was not asked for or explained when asking for insurance.
    Hope you can help

Yes you can reclaim your PPI on your credit card if you can prove that the box was pre ticked plus under a number of other issue's too. Use the 8% interest calculator on the reclaims page to work the amount as they work as multiple premiums and therefore the interest has already been previously added to the amount so you just work on the date it can on your bill and the statuatory interest + the original payment. PS i am reclaiming on my Halifax One card for PPI

yes it's just scare tactics - they can't ask for costs if it's a small claim !!! you need to write back and put in a CPR 18 Request for further informtion - look back on todays posts I've listed a CPR request

hi again i have just realised that the letter their solicitor sent me was sent to me in error! i think they meant to send it to the court but sent it to my address by mistake! i dont think they would have sent me the application to put judgement aside and a letter looking for my agreement! at first i read it and assumed they had sent me a copy but it looks like they messed up again as they blamed a administrative error for not responding in time! i could be wrong of course
  • Hi there, I am reposting this message - please can someone help me? I would be really grateful for any advice please.

I was wondering if anyone could help please? Couple of things ...
We have wrote to our lender Paragon Personal Finance asking for a rebate of our PPI that we felt was missold to us in 2004 and they are trying to fob us off. They have said that I will have to go back to the original lender which was EasyLoans.co.uk as they handled all the paperwork relating to our application and only forwarded to Paragon the fully packaged documents after we had signed the Credit Agreement. Please could anyone help with this and let me know if I should go back to them or should I pursue Paragon as we have the loan with them?
Also, our credit agreement became an Unregulated Credit Agreement because of the added PPI as the original loan amount was for £25,000 and they added on £7,250 for the PPI. We have had problems trying to find out what our rights are with this sort of agreement - please could anyone help?

I would really really appreciate some advice please.

    Thank you

P.S. There are other problems that we have had with this loan but there is too much to go into here, but basically they are offering us a goodwill gesture by reducing our interest rate from 11.392% to 10.892% which doesn't even make a difference!

whenever an application is made, both parties have to copy the other party into the application (this is called serving notice) as well as sending it to the court
