Hi, when did you take out the loan? I have looked around and found on another forum that someone got tapes of their conversation from FirstPlus for a loan taken out in Nov 2000, so if yours was near then, they are probably lying.0 -
Sorry to be a thicky but I am new to all this. What does SAR stand for?0

Did they tell you how far back their recordings go? I read that they were formed in 1997.0 -

I have read numerous threads on here about people complaining to the FOS about Firstplus (like myself but mine had yet to be answered) and the FOS saying they were not regulated by anyone at the time of selling but i note that firstplus was owned by the Barclays Group. Surely Barclays were regulated by someone and if they own them then surely the FOS CAN help. Any advice here of the exact time barclays owned them from.

It's a Subject Access Request that you are entitled to ask the company for under the Data Protection Act and they must comply - it's for the information that they hold on you concerning your account including paperwork and phone calls etc when you set up the account.0 -
I've already wrote them a letter explaining it all to them. I've tried to use as many one syllable words as possible so as not to confuse them!! :rotfl:
You tell em Ploddy....in the one syllable words (love it!) where to go....!!!!:rotfl:0 -

It says in the article you have quoted that Barclays took them over in 2000 at the same time it took over Woolwich. They say in their letters to me that they are members of the Final Leasing Association and bound by their lending code.0 -
