Letter gone off now to OFT, also sent them an attachment by email too, so thanks for that and Marshallka too.

I have not got round to writing to the FSA yet though so any suggestions what I should add in the letter to them, what about the same one as the OFT or something different, and is there anything else to add or change otherwise, thanks again in advance.;)

when the click finance and click financial shinanigans were going on (ie when financial was set up and finance dissolved) did they come under the jurisdiction of the FSA ? If not, you could put down what happened and say you're aware the FSA can't investigate but that it is going on with the other two companies they've just set up and you wanted to make them aware of the what potentially could be happening

    Hi,

I am needing a bit advice. I have been trying to reclaim my PPI for sometime and I have just received a letter from MBNA stating reasons why they won't refund my money.

My reasons for wanting it back is I was unaware that my pre existing medical condition was not covered and therefore if any claim made it would be invlaid anyway. Why would I pay for something that is no use to me!!! I also advised MBNA that on 2 occasions I phoned to cancel policy and 1st time I felt very bullied by person on phone to keep with PPI (they never asked me about any medical conditions). 2nd time I thought it was cancelled until I saw statements with insurance still being taken off.

They say I contacted them on 9/11/05 to cancel conver but after discussing the benefits with them I requested the cover to remain. and that as I received regular policy updates I should have cancelled it well before I did.

They have said this is their final response and that as the period is outwith time limits for FOS they won't really be able to help.

What should I do now, is this the end of the road for me?
    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks Tiggrae.
When I had actually taken out the loan in July 2004 I know they did not come under jurisdiction of the FSA then or GISC.;)
    Thanks again.:D ;)

I have had an email from Which Magazine wanting more information about my battle with Redcats (brands) ltd and seeing if theres anything they can advise to resolve it to my satisfaction.

Also the ICO want more details regarding La Redoute not supplying what they should for an SAR.

    Finger crossed!

    Hi hun
When did you take this Credit Card out with these ?

So they have said then that the Financial Ombudsman Service will not be able to help? Did they state why ?
Did they say they were not under jurisdiction a the time you had taken out this policy ?

Do you know if they were under GISC prior to Jan 2005?

I would contact the Financial Ombudsman service and query them on this just to double check, they would be able to confirm if they are able to look at this or not, check out this link for contacts of the FOS and at the same time have a browse, it may also give you some idea.;)

    Please let us know, thanks.

Yeah but Di, like single says it throws the question now of between jan 2005 and liquidation did they sell any insurance and if they even introduced (i think it was said) then they would have needed to have been authorised and we don't know that. If they were not in 2004 did you ever find them on the fsa register when you first started looking into this??
