I thought it was quite funny the other day when ringing Twopart - liquidators, I gave the ref number on the letter, the lady put me through to the gent who are dealing with them, I asked him straight just to be sure really, I asked him did anyone take over Twopart/Eloan when they taken up voluntary liquidation in May of this year, he asked me if I was an ex employee of the firm :rotfl: :rotfl: , lol, well anyway he was still kind enough to give me the name of the company who had taken over from these and said to bear in mind that these have to gone into liquidation, and even asked offered to give me the details of the FSA, I told him then after there was no need as I have their details........then after the phone call I wondered why would I want to contact the FSA anyway...... , so any ideas, because I did not think to ask him there and then.....silly me......:o lol.

What baffles me why was I not told this before, of when I received the letter from the liquidators in July ??

im new to the forum so sorry if the information below is laid out wrong! Yesterday i put the letter from MSE on PPI reclaiming into egg, i had a 7k loan and they told me to take out PPI at the same time too to help the application, I read about the PPI thing and went and looked into my finance folders when i took out the loan and in my orginial notes i had written down insurance helps with the application! At the start of the loan it added 3k, i paid it off 2 years early but seem to have paid the full 3k of ppi - which doesnt look right?!
I suppose my query is now, what happens next after i've submitted the letter reclaiming it back? Will they fob me off (like the banks tried with bank charges?)
    Advice greatfully received!

    Hi there hun
And its good to see you here.;)
If you can bear with me for now I'm sure Marshallka, Tiggrae and so will be here later on to go over all the new postings and in case I miss anything, but what happens now is if the first letter is unsuccessful, you should get the chance to write back to them until you receive a letter which states "Final decision" and they should mention the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) who will investigate your complaint further.

In my experience and many others here the first letters are normally just plain standard fob off letters, and then you get back to them to tell them you are not satisified with their decision and request them to reconsider or you will have no option but to complain to the FOS.

See what comes back on this letter, let us know and we will take it from there, then all the way if we have to.;)

keep at them is the best action.:D
Hope its good news first time round for you, but all is not lost otherwise.

    Di.

Or this link here, (phoenix firms) be persistant when trying to reclaim from these companies.

    Just one other question!!

In the first letter I got from lloyds it stated the following:

the fact that there was a cash loan and a loan for the loan protection insurnace together with the respective amounts.

In my eyes thats saying to me that its a loan+interest for £15000.00 then a loan for the PPI+interest, am I right in thinking that!!!

If so, is Lloyds aloud to do this to its customers LEGALLY?

Many thanks for you help in this Question:beer:
yes they were legally allowed to do this, but they'll be stopped selling PPI soon at the point of loan sale

yes you'll get a standard letter from egg saying it wasn't their fault as you signed the agreement - so once you receive this just put your complaint to the Financial Ombudman

    Hi There.
I'm a newbie to 'posting' so bare with me please. I think this is the right place to ask advice...
I recently posted a letter to Egg about reclaiming PPI on a loan I took out with them in 2004.l received the standard reply this morning saying they received my complaint and someone would be calling me to discuss.I'm just wondering has anyone else had this- if so what is involved in this call.I'm afraid they'll bully me into accepting that they weren't at fault!!!
    Thanks so much....
personally I would not speak to them on the phone, if they call just say you've been advised to ask for everything in writing - if they do make an offer, again they have to put it in writing for you to sign - which will give you time to decide whether you're happy to accept or not
