when the click finance and click financial shinanigans were going on (ie when financial was set up and finance dissolved) did they come under the jurisdiction of the FSA ? If not, you could put down what happened and say you're aware the FSA can't investigate but that it is going on with the other two companies they've just set up and you wanted to make them aware of the what potentially could be happening
Click Financial Limited is under the fsa on 14th January, 2005 (although not got licence from OFT until 22/01/05) but do not know about Click Finance Limited and what Di needs to find out (or wants to make the FSA investigate) is if CLick Finance Limited actually carried on selling insurance (or even introduced) from July 2004 (as it appears they were not authorised to do so!!) to July 2006 when they liquidated. I would imagine they will say that during that time they did not and that their newly licenced company CLick Financial did it instead!!

See my other post below, it explains it better as to what she wants the FSA to investigate or should i say inform them of.

    Hi Di,

Thanks for replying. I first took out the credit card in 1999. I have read that MBNA were not under the jurisdiction before 2001 i think.
I am just getting really frustrated with now knowing I was never covered and also knowing I tried to cancel and it didn't happen, I just can't seem to prove anything.

Is this the one you had a final response for in March of this year???

You have only got six months from the time of the final response if you had gone to the FOS although if this was added in 1999 and then they were not under jurisdiction until 2001 then courts would be your only option here i think. ALso they could state your claim is time barred as its over 6 years ago. Perhaps tiggrae could advise about the courts route.

hi there - when did you take out the loan / ppi
Hello sorry for the delay replying - not had access to my PC.

I took out the loan in July 2004 for 22,000 with ppi 6650.00 = 28,650 and again was advised by the telephone sales women that I needed to take this as a backup (safety net) I sent the original letter to lombard back in Sept 2007, got a couple of letter back from them saying we are looking into this and then just in time for xmas they sent there final one saying sorryyou dont have a claim, i then sent this all to FSA in January and the last I heard (letter wise) was in june. I have since phoned on a few occassions to be told that this has not yet be assigned to anyone - surely it cant take them this long.... eh:mad:

Tiggrae, this is what was advised for Di to do as regards the FSA and this is what is needed to be added to the FSA letter not the above as that is already in the letter. Its about the "directors conduct" really.

Di should be writing to FSA anyway. I am not an expert on bankruptcy but I think the process is filing for, winding up and then dissolution. I am fairly sure that once they have filed they cease to be active for new business which looks like april 05

It looks like april 05 which would explain why they were never registered in jan 05 with FSA. BUT and this is the big question did the directors ever inform the FSA of this bankruptcy. It doesn't matter if it is for a different company to the one authorised as it is the directors personal conduct that is most important to FSA.

So although CLick Financial may have been above board in 2005 did these directors let them know that they were involved in the other company Click Finance Limited that had started to go into liquidation in April 2005???

ALso did CLick Finance do any sales of insurance from when they started to liquidate (or when they should have become authorised to do this ie Jan 05) up until actual liquidation in July, 2006??? Or did they even introduce sales to the other CLick companies as this would mean the same. They needed to be authorised.

    I bet they did not....

Also here is another one. If Click Financial Limited got authorised by the FSA on 14th January, 2005 but did not get their CCL until 22nd January, 2005 were they in fact allowed to trade for that 8 days prior??? Would it not matter to anyone???:D

They should write to let you know every month i think from what i have read on here. I would ring them and ask what is happening with this complaint. It is taking some a long time but i think 3 months is a little long with no explanation. Just keep ringing. Might shift their !!!
