Hi Guys, sorry it's been a while since I last posted (2 weeks!)
Congratulations to everyone so far, and good luck for this next week (especially to Mellika for the job hunting).
Things have slipped for me since I had a week's holiday. My challenge for that week was to tidy my bag and keep it tidy - it was only half done and it was an easy task! And last week I made 2 lunches in the morning. And the house has been a tip!
So for this next week I want to get back on track with my previous challenges. So I will keep a tidy bag, make my lunch for work in the evening before, and I want to do at least 30 mins of housework every day (except tuesday as I have college, so 10 mins that day).
Wish me luck, I have a feeling I'm going to need motivation! And I've not made tomorrow's lunch yet!
Take care everyone

Ooh, this is a good idea - can I join in?
I think my challenge for this week will be (like somebody else who posted above) to keep my in tray and inbox clear. I did have a good blitz on both last week, so I'm in a pretty good starting position, but I really want to keep on top of this, as it seems to slip very easily.
Finger crossed ....
Good luck with your challenges this week everybody:j0 -
Wow - Ive actually managed to achieve a target, (ok half of it), finished my 1st assisgnment just about to send it.
Spend 20 hours on it!!!!!!!!!!!
Haveing a rest 2mor, then start the other one friday xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi All - not been on for a while, very busy at home. My kitchen renovation is starting on Monday so have been trying to find homes for most of the stuff in the garage (which will be part of my new kitchen), doing carboot on Sun (hopefully!!!) about 6 trips to the tip, bought a new bigger shed - that's filled!!
My challenges so far
1. keep inbox and post sorted - post ok, inbox not too good but will try to do this week (reason for this hardly been on puter)
2. Eat breakfast everyday ( slipping on this too, will get back on track)
3. Do some cleaning everyday rather than all at weekend (I did tidy etc during week it wasn't that bad!) Doing well at this and have even started to do some before work which is good.
4. Knitting - this is going pretty good. Been knitting every night, not finished anything yet as, when I started I had forgotten how to do things. Changed the pattern to just knit and purl and amy now half way through baby cardigan. I know it's taking me a while but I don't do alot each night.
Not going to set anymore challenges for the next 3 weeks as my house will be like a building site, so if I can keep up with the above and try to keep as much dust at bay as possible when they knock the wall down I will be happy.
Hope everyone is ok, Denise - come out of hiding!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lolNeed to sort my life out! :T0 -
(Hangs head in shame...............)
I seem to have failed miserably on every task I set myself since day 1:think:
Must think of a way of making myself more motivated to get stuff done.........can't blame the builder, he hasn't turned up this week:mad:
Can only blame myself and I must -absolutely must - get myself more organised !
Is it too early to say what I'll try and do next week ??
Well.............I'll endeavour to do some sort of housework every day.........might not be much but something...........:rolleyes:Mary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Just to say a massive thank you to one and all on this thread, it certainly made me think.
Cut a long story short, but ended up in hospital I collasped this afternoon, thank god it was a stress attack, but it made me realise how much in life we all take on, and by signing up to this thread, its opened my eyes that whether its a simple task we want to do, or something major, we all need to make challenges for ourselves, and make a new thought to take time out for ourselves, be it 5 mins locked in the bathroom with the newspaper, or putting our feet up. (lecture over!!!) xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
mum2one -glad it wasn't anything really bad. You are right we do do far too much. What with work, home, kids, cooking etc we should all give ourselves some 'me' time. Take it easy, do a little at a time and get OH to help!!! I should be so lucky!! lol.
Building site of a house has gone horribly wrong. Council regulations man has now decided that when we take the wall down we need an RSJ - shame he didn't tell us that in the first place. Everything gone to pot! But that's life I suppose. As my husband, who is away, says - oh well never mind!!! Don't you just love them!Need to sort my life out! :T0 -
Hello everyone - again.
I'm sorry I disappeared for so long. The truth is I've been battling a bad bout of depression and the last thing I wanted to do was get online.
I've felt a bit better these past couple of days so turned the computer on and dealt with the hundreds of new e-mails I had.
I have to start my challenges all over again. At the moment it's a struggle to just get out of bed, and getting dressed is a bonus!
Anyway, I hope you forgive me.GC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29
