First time was naughty when he did it. As for this time, as I mentioned, since then there's now an actual law criminalising it. An ebay seller was recently prosecuted under it for shill bidding.

I havn't used them, know nothing about them, but if I was needing an opinion on the company, would rather believe you two guys than somebody with only a couple of posts.

Just realised that I've never linked to that site and certainly won't be doing so.
The website I did link to was http://www.electrical-deals.co.uk/ about which I have not seen a complaint.

Can i just say to everyone here as to regards of my resent post we decided to do some research on this company after our Awful experience to read reviews etc as it was something we have done from the star however it’s too late now.
When i came across this member Pete asking if anyone had used them I decided to re-open this thread regardless how old it was as the info i posted was truthful as we had nothing to hide or make up. Also it will come in handy for future members who decide to research before buying from this company as this is what these websites are for!!
Good luck to anyone who had no problems with them unfortunately we had an awful time to say the least.
This was a recommendation on our own experience and opinions and up to each individual as to whether they want to use them or not as simple as that.
I find it very childish for members who can post rude remarks on any other members post as its their prerogative to post info on relevant matters regardless how long ago it was posted As I said good luck to anyone who decide to shop with them as we certainly will not be spending our hard earned cash with these cowboys again.

You were getting slammed because it's bad forum etiquette reopening old posts. Whilst you were doing the right thing finding it by a search (I'm assuming) what you could have done would be reopen a new post then link it to previous article
(i.e this post) in relation to xxxx previous discussed in xxxx post

You don't open the old article because the issue may no longer be relevant, the person may have sorted out since then

Also, since you're quite new here, it can see like spam because you may have just created a new user account to badly publicise this company (you could be a competitor)

    Never mind :)

I think wisechoice may have a legitimate beef with the company involved although as a newbie I would have expected a new thread to be started about this, as to leaving a negative review would that be considered as spamming?

wisechoice may consider leaving a review on the WOT site (web of trust, no reviews at the moment) or on Trustpilot if wisechoice has not done so already.

I'm just intrigued how knightrideruk who apparently owns or is involved with this company managed to find this thread so quickly?

It did cross my mind with this thread (apart from the original OP) that it was a windup where individuals or a group of posters create scenarios for a larf ;)

    The things people do

I'll keep this sites, is the WOT linked to the Thawte Notary site. It rings a bell for some reason?

  • Hi,
just joined, I have nothing what so ever to do with cheapelectricals, honest, apart from being a new customer, yesterday (29/05/2010) I ordered a Panasonic tx-p42g20b+free 5 year guarantee+free delivery for £799.99. I will post my thoughts and findings of the company as my order progresses.
  • Great service from Cheapelectricals, why does it seem that if someone is positive about this company everyone thinks they are an employee?
My new Panasonic plasma has been delivered, checked, tuned in and is up and running. I have nothing but praise for their customer service and sales. I received emails telling me the stock situation and to confirm delivery, no problem contacting them via telephone.

I have a great product at a great price from a great company, from time to time we all have a bad experience, but for goodness sake, get things into prospective, be polite not abusive, you will be suprised how much better you are treated and maybe how much better you will feel.

Sorry for the rambling. Cheapelectricals get 5 stars from me.
