Myhoose, thanks for reminding me, I did know, but thinking about it a bit more, thats probably more of a comfort to Nelly to know that it won't spark and blow up the wohole street.
By the way, should this thread be made a "sticky"??
(will the crap (aha) jokes ever stop??)0 -
Out of interest Nelly, what did the ad for the house say on rightmove:
A lovely riverside property, with DG, GFCH, alarm, ensuite, garage, fitted kitchen, lovely hard wood floors, and an open sewer in the back garden.
Must be viewed to appreciate fully.
Viewing by appointment only.
(please tell me if I am taking this too far. waiting for the kids to go asleep.)0 -
No Lawrie, keep em coming, best laugh this week ... why has Nelly gone quiet? Maybe he's up to his ears in plopage

Mate, lets not be hasty here.
Number 2's and urine flowing into the river regularly are gonna produce a warm spot and plenty of ground bait. The perfect fish attractors. You could have all the fish you could possibly want to eat right under your nose! :T
Any chance of some pics of the river from your garden aswell? I'm sad like that!0 -
Everyone sing (to the tune of penny lane)
at the bottom of the garden is water course,
and a pipe that runs with human waste,
and the neighbours say it's not their flow,
Oh please make it go,
and the man who owns the house he is a plasterer,
with lots of yellow pages fame,
he visits neighbours with 2 pints of milk,
and pours it down the drain, very strange,
Smelly Drain it's in my plot, it's in my yard
down beneath the turf and all the roots,
It stinks and I don't want it.
Nellys Drain.
Apols if it doesn't scan, not a beatles expert0 -

From now on EA mens environmet agency and not estate agent
so i phoned the ea yesterday got front desk secretary he took details and said someone would phone back.
About 4 mins later this giddy officious twit phoned waffling on saying i need to sort this problem out or I will get in serious trouble
So im like ....what? it aint my bog mate!
He was stunned... and said you mean its not your toilet?
No!
I could hear him dissolve he was like (after I explained ) oh eff in hell we are actually have to do some real work instead of sitting here playing monopoly all day
anyway no call off them today as promised ...so I presume they are checking medeivil laws to make it my fault so they can do nowt and carry on playing monopoly all day instead of doing owt productive.
My councill havent bbeen in touch neither....shock horror
They are both !!!!!! scared that they have to do some real work and the best bit is I'll be their boss0 -
I work at the EA in the North West (not in Environment Protection though). It's not Monopoly we play here. It used to be Solitaire and Minesweeper but they've taken that off our computers so we have to do some actual work now.
If you want to PM me with details about your address and stuff, I can probably bypass the system a bit for you and also get direct names and contacts. There will definitely be something that can be done about it though, and they will be taking it seriously, honestly!
Can I just say though, please don't put milk down any loos again!!It's pretty much the most serious pollutant you can get! If any of your neighbours do report you, you really will be in the plop! :rotfl:0 -
Helliecopter's user name has given me an idea. Give us your postcode and we can google earth you. From here we can look at your garden and that of your neighbours and see where the soil has been disturbed and trace the pipe that way like baldrick does on time team.0
