I haven't authorised them to take £500 from my card! The 49p plus delivery is all I authorised them to take!

It could be argued that Argos/Homebase failed to act when they knew of the error on their website. Argos removed the error from the main argos site, but not from the Homebase site. Argos has been aware of this error for at least 12 hours, yet has failed to contact anyone about it. You can still order on the Homebase site. If they take the money, that term is unenforceable, as a contract has already been formed (regardless of their "contract will be formed upon despatch" term, which wouldn't stand up in court.)

I see this post has had 8622 views now if only 20% of us ordered 1 each,thats a lot of tellies.OUCH !!!!!! and pain for argos.It would make up for all the previous mis prices they chose not to honour with the ring and reserve webcams etc...ah yes remember the webcams.............
