Why though do some muppets order more than one.are they greedy or just daft.I think 1 you have a chnce more than that then they will know you're taking the pi55.
just my thoughts....ive been wrong before.Onwards and Upwards0 -
I'm guessing these clauses will get them out of it:
7.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which may not otherwise be limited or excluded under applicable law.
7.2 Subject to section 7.1 above, Homebase will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any information on the site but makes no representation or warranty of any kind express or implied statutory or otherwise regarding the contents or availability of the site or that it will be timely or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the website Homebase will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the website and Homebase accepts no liability of any kind for any loss or damage from action taken or taken in reliance on material or information contained on the site.
But hey, worth a try for £5.44 :-P0 -
On the homebase page mentioned above, and also on the order page I used this is displayed next to the price:
£0.49 *
Why the asterix? it's not next to any of the other prices?~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
I like this one:8.8 If any portion of these terms and conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity or enforceability of the other sections of these terms and conditions shall not be affected.
I still think there's a good chance certain parts of their terms and conditions wouldn't stand up to scrutiny under the UFCT Act 1977.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Must be almost a hundred of us ordered now - we only need one lawyer! In reality the whole thing would be cheaper for them to honour the sales surely? These items probably only cost them a £100 apiece - therefore 100 x 100 = £10000 - cheap to avoid publicity and loss of customers, goodwill etc.
What do you all think?
yep totally agree on that, the bad publicity alone, would be worth them coughing up, before it got that farIn this trusted place U can erase
Every tear that ever rolled down your weary face
All the time U waste in that paper chase
Is time better spent in these arms of mine0 -

My hubbies gonna kill me if ive done sommat dodgy.........oh dear !!!
No it's not dodgy, if you go to the secure part of the homebase site you can click on the gold padlock at the bottom of the screen (if you're using the usual Microsoft web browser) and it will show you the real identity of the people getting your card details. It's very difficult to fake it and in this case yes it does say Homebase.

You should always do this before you put your credit card details into sites, make sure the number's really going where you think it's supposed to be going.I ♥ MSE0
