I don't quite understand why people would want to take action?
It's obvious it's an error.:rudolf:0 -
If we can set a precedent, it will benefit us all like the free flights for hoovers fiasco!!! T&C cannot always protect the seller.
rizla01 who would you suggest to represent us and organise this??? if it was nessecery to seek legal options...
Mistakes do not generate money by Argos taking money from my account and accepting this order they have entered into a contract to supply said item. If the refuse and send money back to my account a week later.. maybe more... how much intrest will they have accumalated over several weeks and several thousand people... care to do the maths???0 -
Whole site seems to have a generic error for anything you order? Could be they have discovered this error somehow0

Don't you agree that if it is the case that Argos have been taking money from peoples accounts this is not really good practice? If they get hassle then maybe they will 'correct' their procedures.0 -
yes, but hoover was a genuine misjudgement of how many would take up the offer. The honoured it because that's what they'd promised, and people bought hoovers expecting the flights.
Argos have said some prices may be wrong, in which case they will let you know so you can cancel your order should you wish.:rudolf:0 -
I think the party is over, folks.
I spotted this thread just slightly too late - I'd have ordered one given the chance.
Excellent spot - well done to the OP.0 -

Looks like they've caught on and sorted it. The link on the first page no longer works now.0

In cases where money has left accounts then yes, those people have a right to claim some sort of loss, even if just the cost of interest. And this should be changed if it is happening.
But those of us who received nothing more than confirmation emails, i think we'd be wasting everyone's time trying to pursue anything.
But that is just my opinion.
People saw a bargain and jumped on it.
Just like the amazon thread the other day. Great if people get tv's, if not tough luck, but no bargains will ever come about if there's a court case every time there is a mis price:rudolf:0 -
:rotfl: you guys crack me up :rotfl: do you really think this is going to happen :rotfl:
(no, don't answer that, obviously some poor deluded souls do!) :rotfl:0
