My partner was told by his sons psychiatrist he sees (because of his Autism) that it would not be too late for him to be assessed.......now as she's someone qualified in diagnosis when it comes to Autism/Aspergers, that's a subtle hint if I'd ever seen one :rotfl: All the way through DS1s diagnosis he said 'but he's fine, he's just like me'. He has now managed to accept that's probably why he's a little different, why socially he's useless and why he does some of the things he does. It also helped him understand himself and me understand him better, why those little things got to him so much and now we can work with what we know. Now of course it's also helped him understand his sons a lot better, he knows sometimes before I do how they will react in certain situations etc. It's probably why we're still together, god knows what he'd be doing if he wasn't with me as I'm the only one who understands him. 'Loving Mr Spock!' Asperger's Syndrome and how to make your relationship work! A great book! I read it when my sons assesment started then made DP read it after assessment was suggested......think I seen the penny drop then.
Flu stuff, I'm a bit of a pain, I worked in my Uncle's pharmacy for a short time which made me realise what goes in meds etc. I tend to read labels then buy cheaper versions of non branded ones. Just I then am even more of a pain and prefer not to take anything where possible :rotfl: I'm supposed to take over 30 prescription meds a day at the minute but I don't. I think this is sinus more than anything so have just filled a hanky with olbas oil.One day I might be more organised...........

She has dry clothes on.. poor pea walked into the door frame trying to go back to her room.. she was all wobbly and freezing cold.

DD home yesterday at 7pm!! She's still been feeling a bit rough, so a quick trip to the late night pharmacy, but she's much better today, so we're off to France for the day! We'd booked this earlier, obviously before we knew her flight was cancelled, but she doesn't want us to stay home.
DD has had a fantastic time, and showed us the photos and all details of where she's been. She bought me a beautiful sari!I just have to learn to put it on.
Love to everyone, and back tomorrow. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Morning.
5 days overdue now..
Went to bed with a small supper but couldnt sleep felt really sickCaved in at about 12:30am and text OH telling him to come home.. he trundled in at just gone 1am drunk as a skunk and chatting !!!!. I was angry and upset with him by then.. then when i asked who had he been out with and amongst the big list was a certain name (i.e. his first girlfriend who weve already had issues over.. not on HIS part but womans intuition tells me she still has a big thing for him 15 years on and his family still sing her praises constantly  ) ...... well then I burst into tears after holding it in most the day... sobbed my heart out and managed to give myself an anxiety attack!  Not good for me... not good for baby
Hope it made OH feel very guilty though as since then hes spent the whole night trying to sleep cuddled up to me.. to which ive wiggled away from  Made me laugh at one point when he drunkedly slurred "no didnt really have a good time just wanted to be here with you and baba.. your the most important things to me.." YEAH RIGHT so why the F**K did you stay in the pub??!!!URGH men!!!!!!!!!!
ANYWAY got up about 7am as i couldnt sleep.. and just been catching up on some emails etc.. took 2 paracetamol as i have a headache, feel sick and have twinges.. maybe TODAY will be the day?! (If it is and OH is still asleep i'll just ring my dad for a lift and leave OH a note....:p )

Morning all,
Johanne, hugs - hope all is well with you this morning.
Lil-me/chunky - why is it that violent men always say it was YOUR fault? YOU made me do it?
Nicki - hugs to you too - he really isn't worth it you know
Well, ended up doing precious little yesterday except shove stuff up on ebay. I've still got some maps left - I'll put some more of them up later today. I've been sorting out the 1000s of old postcards I bought on a whim about 8 years ago and putting them up - sometimes individually, sometimes in small lots. They seem to be doing alright - some have bids already.
Was quite amused yesterday afternoon. DD asked if I'd pick her up from work and drive her across town to pick up her car which had been in for MOT. As she rarely asks for lifts, I said yes. She works for a solicitor in a really swanky and expensive part of town where a lot of rich people live. There's a small parade of shops there which I only usually drive by on a Sunday. I was actually staggered to see the hairdresser had a doorman! All braided up in a posh frock coat! DD says he parks the customers cars for them and brings them back when they're done! Then across the road there were a load of forensics dusting a flat above a cafe. Apparently the cafe closed a while ago because of money laundering and the interest in the flat above relates to a bank robbery that took place there earlier in the week! How the other half live....
Right, don't know what I shall do today but I must do SOMETHING. It's pouring with rain and quite cold so is not particularly a good day to paint. Maybe I'll tackle that front room. It's a positive tip. I shall do a 'before' photo soon and post it here to SHAME me into sorting it out!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
