No anger from liverpudlians please.
Do be extra careful if you are unfamiliar with this city; there are beggars, pedlars and street musicians who may seem colourful but are actually part of organised gangs of pickpockets and muggers.
The once famous friendliness of the city appears to have been hijacked by criminals. Liverpool still has a major drugs and street crime problem everywhere so you must be extra vigilant of your belongings and wallets.
Obvious one but dont be seen using a map or A-Z, it targets you as a victim right away.
Merseyside police are very stretched at the best of times but the McCartney show will bring the robbers out in droves.
There is very sound advice on the Merseyside Police Website on protecting yourself in public from street criminals.
Otherwise, enjoy your holiday.
I do not post often but this post really gave me the hump. Not ONE of your points is true, the post is complete rubbish. I live outside Liverpool - closer to Manchester actually and i would rather spend money in Liverpool any day.
How you can say that street beggars and musicians are part of an organised crime ring and that they prey on "a-z readers" is absurd. I for one would like to know which nutter gave you this information.
Please never come to Liverpool, you are not worthy of our hospitality.
If anyone would like info about the wonderful City that is Liverpool (hotels/bars/restaurants/cinemas/gallerys) please do not hesitate to pm me.
Incidentally, where is is you live cwp500?0
