I keep mine in for several days, just to be sure!!
Remember to decant from the paper bag to a plastic one or you will get damp flour when it thaws0 -

Aah, hadn't thought of that.0 -
I think ASDA's flour is quite good for making cakes, but Sainsburys' is good for bread and not for cakes if you understood that...lolPigsback- 250pp (11.50 claimed) Ipoints- 200
Toluna- 16 615 (Need 60000 for Sainsbury's voucher) Lightspeed- 110 points (aiming for a W H miths or BHS 10.00 voucher)

Re weevils:
My mum is a church minister and once preached a sermon about yeast representing sin. And to make her point, when it came to the communion (bread & wine bit) she proudly announced that she had some unleavened bread - I think they were matzoh's (crackers) to offer round instead of regular bread. Unfortunately they'd been stored next to the infested flour in her kitchen and when she took the lid off the box, she saw all the weevils crawling all over them! Rather than admit she had weevils in her cupboards.......she.......yes, you guessed it........she brushed them off & fed the crackers to the congregation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH! I'm horrified still that she did this.0 -

Not really. It depends on the type of flour. Strong flour has more gluten and is best for bread. You don't want to make anything like pastry with that, as it will be all tough and leathery.
PS. I also bought as much Sainsbury's strong white flour as I could carry today! Still 48p in mine.0_o0
