I agree, definitely a grabit, expires 1st September and could get pulled or ammended even sooner...0 -
Got my 2 tickets for 2 different trips in East Anglia in the post this morning !
William1 is a fab moneysaver !!0 -
Gets my vote for post of the month - though I reckon it would have stood more chance if it had remained on the Grabbit board.0

Offer posted first in here by Spuckle on 25 Aug
I would vote for that one.0 -
Booked two return tickets to Carlisle for £31.50 instead of £63.00, in the early hours of this morning.
Cheers OP. How did it come to your attention?0 -
many thanks for this. you have just saved me £23.50 on my tickets to the airport.0

Just wanted everyone to be aware that they can book tickets dated up to 30th November for outward journey so if you have an Open Return or Saver ticket you can return up to 1 month later.0

Holy God OP - THANK YOU!!!!!
Starting a new job in September (12th), and had planned on getting a railcard - worked out £348.30pcm for a monthly one, or £302.33pcm for an annual one.
I looked at the site, and played around, and then realised i could save:
"Standard Open Return" - £25.50
I got a Young Persons Railcard from the trainstation today: Cost £20
"Standard Open Return" (with YPR) = £16.85
"Standard Open Return" (with YPR/50%) = £8.42
£8.42
*5 (days in a week)
*52 (weeks a year)
/12 (months)
----
£182.43 pcm to book the tickets seperately!
So, I have just booked 49 tickets, (seems the system is limited to 49!) and am going to book some more (another 9 to take me to end of November)
So thats 58 tickets, covering 11 weeks 3 days.
Anyhow - Total for 11 weeks, based on buying Annual Season Tickets
£767.47
Total for 11 Weeks based on this discount, and YPR
£463.10
I make that a Saving of £304.37 over 11 weeks!

Sorry to go on, but that's a hell of a bargain (£27.67 per week = £1440 pa.)
Anyhow - thanks - please let me know, how did you find this?
btw: lurked for ages, and registered to make this post!0 -
FirstScotRail e-mailed me with the offer although it took a while to figure out that the site calculated the discount on the total transaction value rather then on a per ticket one.
Glad to be of service anyway! Falkirk Bairn0 -
The site is refusing all of my cards - quite annoying as I've just spent the last hour piecing together a journey using a number of singles.
Has anyone else had problems with credit card verification? It's unlikely there's a problem with any of my cards and certianly not all of them.
The support number they give a) is the number of TheTrainLine and b) is only open until 10pm.
I'll try again in the morning, hopefully they'll have sorted the problem by then.0
