hubby says golden syrup toasties are gorgeous (not so sure myself, but might have to try one, just to see!)
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • my sandwich toaster died some time ago, so when i purchased a george foreman grill i done them in there instead. they cook perfectly and you dont need any butter or marg at all! and even do the largest slices of bread(uncut loaves being pure heaven when toasted!)

I love celery, peanut butter and cheese - it's nicest if you saute off the celery a bit first - but it's nummy and it "cuts" the fatty/sticky texture of the peanut butter and cheese.

It's definitely another of those incandencent-when-first-cooked sandwiches though, so watch for escapee cheese!

My friend at work has just brought in a breville toastie maker so we can try to save money on our lunches, but we need ideas please!
These have to be easy to transport/make up at work. We have a fridge, so keeping everything should be ok

The ones we've come up with so far are
    corned beef,
    cheese and ham,
    tuna and onion,
    tuna and cheese . . . .

    Many thanks
