    Ruddy heck!!!

As a previous poster said, nothing at Leyland today. Nothing at Middlebrook either.

    Ah well. Keep looking.

(Got a lifetime's supply of Nivea though - it'd better be good!!)

  • Oh mi god, can't believe you got all that. :rotfl: Wish I had the hard neck to try and get all that at once. I'm just chuffed I got the shower cream. Have to try and get used to using that instead of good old soap.

  • Well done Martini, thats a brilliant story there. I would have bought the same amount of items if I had been able to, I would never buy more than five of a product but I can't see the harm in buying a few of each. You were so lucky with your CS lady, can she come and work in my local please? I am very impressed with your honesty and it just goes to show that it really does pay!!

I used to work in Sainsburys and once accidently gave someone £500 instead of £100 for a lottery win, it wasn't all my fault as it was handed to me by a CS person but none the less I felt awful about it. Luckily the customer returned the cash as she realsied the error, no such kindness with sainsburys as they didn't offer her anything at all. I bet you really pleased that CS lady though cos I know I felt really silly when I made that mistake. Good on ya :-)
  • got the Nice and Easy triple CD - fantastic - that is Grandads Christmas present sorted!

Madeleine peyroux had the shelf ticket removed and the chart price blacked out with a marker - and I really wanted that one! Took a chance with the Natasha Bedingfield at 4.97 on the shelf, 9.97 sticker on the CD and it would not scan on the price checker, but it scanned at 4.97, no great loss as I like her stuff anyway.

When the CS lady asked me to show her where the Nice and Easy CD had been , she told the girl filling the shelf 'oh yes, we've had a few of those today- it's because the promotion offers are changing' she said- get in there quick folks!

Think I might take an early morning trip for the 80s mix one to see if it is wrong!

  • sorry to sound stupid but what is a "joey"?

I went to tesco's last night and managed to get 2 razors and 6 sets of quattro blades 4 packs for undre 4 pound as i took the vouchers off as they went through - the cashier had no problem with this - just said its a good buy getting the razoer and blades for 1.50 odd!

thanks tesco - don't need to blunt my hubbys razor shaving my legs now!!!1

  • Don't the razors have the sticker inside the packaging so how do you get it out without using scissors of pure brute force to get at it?

Also, a Joey coupon is a £3 off cut-out voucher found on the side of Nestle Finesse packs. These are promotional packs with Joey on the front with a free DVD (don't try to ask who Joey is because I will hunt you down and force you to watch it! :D)

  • It depends which razors they are. I have bought the intuition ones and on these the vouchers are sticky lables on the front so you just have to pull them off to use them. I don't know about the Quattros (sp) as I havn't bought any. HTH

No, It's stuck on the back under under a small piece of plastic and is removable after it has gone through the till. You can use it straight away if you're quick!
