No service from e7even this morning.

I can't say I seen customers complaining, enquiring yes...maybe I missed something.Rex_Mundi wrote:It seems weird that if there was a problem with the BT Broadband network, no other people are complaining about loss of service, only E7Even customers.

At least e7even are giving us all a free week of broadband as compensation, sounds fair enough to me for a BT problem.
I've checked my account, my expiry date has moved forwards by a week.

Paul , One would assume you got your information from the ADSL board, as nothing has yet appeared on the e7even home page as yet. They still have old info there. I have just accidently clicked upgrade to 2mb so informed them, but the site failed to issue me with a support ref number, so I had to go back and do it again, still no number.
I've spent the whole afternoon trying to get on line, but only managed it about 5.30pm. Is there still a problem, I thought it was over last night.
I've disconnected so many times, is that what they mean by rebooting?. I dread going off line, for fear that I can't get back on.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Islandman,
I've seen your posts on the ADSL E7 board, my connection has been back on since yesterday afternoon, as have most people's I think.
When people suggest rebooting what they mean is actually turn your computer off, leave it for a minute or two and then switch it back on.
May I suggest that you do this but leave it for about 10/15 mins before switching it back on, and then see if you can connect to E7.
Hopefully we'll see you back here a bit later on.

No problems here since yesterday, all OK
Dave's right - you may need to leave your computer, and router if you have one, off for a good while so that the connection route drops out completely, before trying to reconnect.
E7even are sending out an email about the problems, but I haven't received anything yet either. There's a very helpful e7 rep on the ADSLGuide board who has been giving out the info, but it will take them a while to get all the emails out.
Hope you get it sorted out...

For a couple of days I have been pondering E7even, so I just popped in to post on the forum for info on E7 and caught this thread, can I ask if overall you are pleased with the service and has anyone signed for the 24 month option? I was contemplating 512 or 1mb for the extra offer.
many thanks

I had some reservations about paying upfront when I signed up, but in the end I went for the 24 month deal to get the 'free' setup. If you're worried, I would pay by credit card to give you some protection under the Consumer Credit Act - makes the credit card company jointly liable if anything goes awry.
Overall, I have been extremely pleased with the service so far, their customer services by email are truly excellent - I can't envisage any need to use the expensive telephone support, in an emergency you could use dialup to contact the email support.
My installation went very smoothly, they rang me to keep me informed of progress. Speeds are excellent, and there are no restrictions - they do monitor filesharing networks for illegal downloads, so be aware of this. This doesn't bother me as I'm not into filesharing.
The recent outage is the first I've experienced and it should be noted that it was the result of a failure of BT equipment. However, I have received a week of extra broadband on my account as compensation.
All in all, very happy. They have also offered a further deal on phone calls as an e7even customer - all 01/02 calls for a year for £49!

Thank you for the info, I think I will sign up. At the moment I am with freeserve dial up but I am having a problem contacting them to drop their service, but not as bad as trying to get out of onetel phone service they just wont take no for an answer. I saw the e7even phone deal as well, but I dont want to pay for two services.0

I didn't take them up on the £49 offer as I'm on a free calls deal with onetel at the moment - strangely, I've had no problems with them... yet :think:0
