Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion thread

As some of you will be aware SFF have appointed some Ambassadors throughout the UK to evaluate various aspects of the free screenings for them.

however because some Ambassadors have been posting the codes on UK Hot Deals and this site it's lead to problems ie there are probably on 2 tickets per Ambaddador Code, hence I receivced the following e-mail this morning:-

Please can i ask fellow Ambassadors not to post Ambassador codes on this or any other site? Please pass word on to UKHD etc too? Many thanks

Dear Ambassador,

Imp or tant note: Please do not post the Ambassad or code on free internet sites such as UKhotDeals. Only a handful of tickets are allocated to the Ambassad or code, just enough f or the AMB’s in each region. If you post a code on the net you will be preventing ambassador’s like yourselves from getting tickets to the screening and wasting the time of those reading the post as the vast maj or ity will not get tickets.

Please note that if codes continue to be posted on the net, we will deselect all currently Ambassad or s and chose new ones in each area.

Were you really close to him ?
I always thought he looked nice - without being 'pretty', but recently heard that he is a great believer in going "au natural" i.e. not washing often, and never using deoderant etc. :eek:
Seems a strange sort of thing for the paparazzi to sort of make up, so wondered if it could be true?

I don't like a man to be TOO perfumed you understand, but really bad BO I find really hard to stomach.

LOL, don't know about his personal hygiene, as I didn't have a sniff, but he apparently brushes his teeth all the time and was constantly chewing gum on the red carpet, if that helps.

Of course we would need to KNOW first that someone is posting an ambassador code. I don't know any ambassadors, and if anyone posts a code without saying it's an ambassador code, I will think it's ok to use, so we will have to rely on the ambassadors adhering to the rules. Personally, I have never understood what all the fuss about ambassadors is about, if you check frequently, you can always get tickets to screenings without getting special treatment.

i hope that doesnt mean that the majority of codes given out have been ambassador codes or we'll get next to no films to watch.

No, I doubt that - I reckon we don't see many ambassador codes at all

I have got the free tickets for Happy Go Lucky at West India Quay for tomorrow from MOMENTUM
But te time shown on the printout says 0:00 am Surely it cannot be right!!!
I do not remember now what did I read when I applied for it and printed the free ticket
Has anyone else also applied and got the tickets to West India Quay for 14/4/08?

Any Suggestions?

It's at 6.30pm. My Didsbury tickets have 0:00am on them but other girls at work have 6:30pm on theirs. I assume it's the same at West India Quay.

I don't think this could be the case- there would need to be a LOT of ambassadors for them to need all those In Bruges and 21 codes! :rotfl:
