I'm a SeeFilm First member whose first emailed code was for The Rocker. I couldn't get tickets for any of the 3 local showings of it. Probably due to people posting the codes hereand on other forums. I am normally all for sharing and spreading the joy of freebies and cos of some folks here I have recieved some fine ones lately to come. However I do feel it unfair that people who go to the lengths of actually signing up and becoming members lose out to people who take the codes posted on messageboards and beat legitimate members of the site to their freebies. To me it is almost as bad as those who say take the gluten free goods that are intended for those afflicted. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

you have to be signed up to get access to the tickets, so everyone who gets the tickets is entitled to them. the only difference is, if its posted on here you can get in before the bulk of the emails go out. i know that by the time i receive an email notification from seefilmfirst, the codes have already been posted on here, so it gives some of us, who are at the end of the mailing, a chance to get in

I couldn't agree more with Flea's post. I have been a member of SeeFilmFirst for a long time now and the codes have always been released on the web by various commercial websites before they have even been emailed out to members. I feel that websites like MSE only gives consumers a fairer chance of getting a ticket and as such am a big fan.
Thank you MSErs, you've changed my life.

Can't get my tickets to print as having a bit of trouble with my printer so decided to get text tickets instead for Burn after Reading with ten tall or whatever they are called in Cardiff anyway, texted my code two minutes later a message comes back saying see film first 2 tickets for in her shoes for somebody who lives in Belfast, my friend tried her code and 2 tickets came up for in her shoes for somebody who lives in Scotland so they obviously havent deactivated there old film codes from see film first. It's a bit of a pain as i probably won't be able to go now am going to send a message to the company but if they are anything like there sister company i probably won't get a reply for about a month.0

Ah once again code-sharers are made scapegoats for SFF's failures....*sigh*Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense

Pardon me Wolverine but it is for a crappy obscure film at a large cinema in an out of the way town with THREE preview showings. I would have thought I'd be able to get at least ONE ticket???
I'm not looking for "Burn After Reading" or something.,.. tho i'd love a freebie for it.What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Reverbe, yes, the codes are posted on this message board, but given that you have to still be a signed up member of SFF to actually receive the ticket, we all ARE "legitimate members of the site". I think it's just sour grapes that you got beaten to it. I miss out on a lot of films too and have been a member of SFF for longer than I have been on here but for some reason codes reach here before SFF can email them to me, so I am grateful for this site.0

Everybody on here are legitimate members of see film first you have to be to get the tickets if you waited for see film first to actually email you the codes for the films you would be waiting forever, i think it's just a case of sour grapes unfortunately i always manage to get tickets for films i have never missed out as there are so many codes for every film it's just a case of being on the ball and checking this site a lot.0

Reverbe, if you wait for SFF/Tell Ten to email you a code, you will wait forever. I can count on one hand the number of times they actually sent me a code and by then that code had already been out there for a few days and was full. You need to check here frequently, subscribe to instant email notification for the codes thread, and you will get tickets. There were so many codes for The Rocker, and over at FMUK we have a lively Swap board so people who can't go anymore can give tickets to people who have missed out. You can even post ticket requests in Wanted and if you are not around someone might get tickets for you. Now that's what I call solidarity and is infinitely better than moaning against code sharers! It is not our fault that SFF are absolutely bad in sending out codes to members and even using the situation to advertise "VIP memberships" and some such crap where you actually pay just to be first for the codes.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
