Free DVD when you sign up for Wilkinson Plus free trial

I signed up for the lowest package of 2 per month, thinking would make nice and easy to cancel, however after returning those they have now sent me another 2. The free trial states it is on the package you select and 'my account' confirms right package and still on trial. Were a bit further up my list this time thankfully. Any one else had this?

Hi, what I usually do when doin one of these free trials, is when ive still got my last dvd/s before im about to cancel, I delete all the films from my list of films on my account, so if they receive my films back before I have had a chance to cancel, or somethin goes wrong with cancelling, then at least they wont send anymore films out and hopefully this avoids any charges. Hopes this helps anyone :j

I cancelled my 14 day free trial on the 13th day. In total I received 2 DVDs, despite having over 15 on the waitinglist. The ones I was sent were old films, so I presume Wilkinsons do not have a large amount of copies.

I have not received the free Simpsons DVD I requested either, but I am not holding my breath. A bit of a waste of time, but, hey, it was a freebie.

How long does it take for them to send me a DVD??
I have been a member for a week and 2 days and not had anything yet...my trial will be over before I get anything!! lol

I signed up last year it was directly through my movie stream, its them now as well and they are rubbish. I never got my free dvd and a lot of others did not also, they are really bad and sometimes end up taking the next months rental money also even if you'v cancelled.
Last year people had to pay for lost/damaged dvds, they charge £30 per dvd, you may want to check they have received the dvds before you cancel as you're liable for them if you cancel before they've received them.

With regards to the free dvd, i was told it would be sent within 28 days but never received it and they didnt email back also.

I've been a member for a week without a sign of any DVDs.
I went to their website and sent an email saying "this trial isn't going very well, is it?"

Think I'm going to wait a few more days before I cancel it, just in case it says I didn't give them a chance! Still going to hang on in there waiting for my freebie.....

I didn't have a problem...

Spoke to a lady on the free phone number to confirm that everything was canceled and correct.

Was told the dvd takes 28 days to be delivered.

I am disgusted with this offer. It took nearly 2 weeks from joining for my first movie to arrive, I then forgot to cancel so was charged one month's fee (my fault, I know, that's not why I'm complaining). I've now been a member for over 4 weeks and, having sent my first dvd back well over a week ago, I still have not received another. All this on the higher value package that allows you to have 2 dvds at any one time, and 4 dvds a month. I'll be lucky if I see 2 a month at this rate! They've charged me the higher rate - of course.

I have now cancelled, and will advise all of my friends not to touch this freebie.
