There is a drinking awareness course that reduces bans if the ban is drink related. He can get more info about this from the court if its applicable.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

Generally these courses are local and not offered all over the country. They are also usually offered at the time of the conviction.
Plus remember the old saying - if you can't do the time don't do the crime.0 -
to be fair to him he was very unlucky.
you can't get away with as much as you used to these days.
years ago he would have got a fine or warning.0 -
just wait til he trys to insure a car with a DD on his liscense.even a small car will be extortionate....work permit granted!0

i know someone who tried and it was £3000.
luckily for my brother his step dad owns a garage and he can go on company insurance and drive any car.
but they are only letting him have a 1 litre until he is more sensible.
he drove his car (slowly)for about 30ft with some 15yr olds on bonnet, one fell off and ended up in hospital.0 -
deserves a ban for that then definitely!
:rotfl:0 -
im not saying he didn;t deserve ban but i know loads of people who have done things like that when they were younger, and fortunately for them didn't have any accident.
my brothers friend wrote his car off on the day of passing his test and there were five of them in car and luckily including my brother they all only had bruising, but the police didn't do him for dangerous driving, yet it obviously was.
i would just like to stress that the people on the car were also drunk.!!!!!!!
i think the driving age should be higher as i dont know any 17yr olds who are sensible.
if we had our way he wouldnt be driving until he was 25.0 -
if he is entitled to a sentence-reducing course he will inevitably be offered it , there is a fee attached to any such course.0
