this exact situation happened to me when i was 18,i passed my test, called my work to tell them, within the hour a van arrived and i had to drive it to the depot via the motorway....work permit granted!0 -

this isnt just a nice little earner for the government,it teachin people the hard way how to drive consideratly.ie. not blocking lanes off because he didnt have the sense (or care) to just sit back for a moment and wait for his lane to clear.
and he hasnt learned,he is just avoiding learning by not using the junction.
You obviously did not understand my explaination of the situation. He wants to turn right and it is ok to do this and probably possible at 3 in the morning so picture this. The lights change to green so he moves into the middle of the road to turn right (not because he is stupid or unable to look beyone the bonnet) he waits for the trafic approaching to clear but before there is time to go right the lights change to red and the other ones change to green. There are problems with this particular junction which are being investigated and yes it is a nice little earner for the government as even when they change to tuming of the lights there will be no come back for the people affected before the change. Why do you feel the need to insult him or me with your patronising comments? Even the police are sympathetic and they KNOW what they are talking about
He is 30 been driving for 13 years no accidents no other points.0 -
So he was done whilst waiting to turn right? Was there a yellow box involved? See the only way the camera would get him is if he crossed the line, waiting to turn right, if he then turned the camera woulnd't work.
As for the kid with the drunk on the bonnet, maybe when they climbed on he should have stopped. I'd put money on him egging them on.0 -

this is correct,if he was waiting and the lights changed the camera wouldnt have caught him.
if he crossed the line on red then the camera would have....work permit granted!0 -

luckily for my brother his step dad owns a garage and he can go on company insurance and drive any car.
but they are only letting him have a 1 litre until he is more sensible.
he drove his car (slowly)for about 30ft with some 15yr olds on bonnet, one fell off and ended up in hospital.
Until he gets his license back its irrelevent if he can drive company vehicles...0 -

were you ever young once and done anything wrong.
obviously not you must be a saint.!!!!!!!!!
hope you haven't got children, god help them if they do anything wrong.
of course he knows what he has done is wrong.
apart from the fact he couldn't sleep or eat for months with worry. his car and phone were kept by police for 3 months, and then was sold to repay the money for police storage charges. then he lost his license for 12 months.
but obviously all his fault, doesn't matter that the underage 15 year olds who jumped on his car were p%ssed, and can now claim compensation.
and the fact that our mother has been ill from all this.
and just for all you saints out there. even his probation officer has said he shouldn't have got banned!!!!!!!!!! and the injured childs family have said it was a childish prank gone wrong.
My heart bleeds, it really does
It serves him right for his stupidity, he should have stopped instantly, instead he put peoples lives at risk
As for the storage costs, etc again his own fault, dont do the crime if you cant pay your dues
I bet it was little pimped out saxo or the likes too0 -
