I think the best thing you can do is find a professional local gardener. I run my business in the Glasgow area and am experienced in all aspects of gardens from lawns to horticulture.

What I and many others do is offer a regular visit, and each visit has a purpose. lawn treatments are treatments that your specific lawn needs, not a generic package that a national brand uses. The same reliable person can then be used to tidy the beds, dig over patches, buy in lots of plants at wholesale prices etc etc.

Obviously I am biased, but customers are overjoyed with what they get from me and that is why I make sure every hour of my service is done to the highest standards. There are many other like me too, and I can make recommendations for others in your area if you ask as I have a lot of contacts.
