What about sailing into the US? It only gives options for flying but I am going on an Alaskan cruise which starts in Vancouver. I looked through the site but nothing was clear on entering the US that way.0

You can definately apply more than once. Further to my previous thread in which I explained I could not amend my application because I wrote the authorisation number down incorrectly I have applied again. All went throught fine and was authorised. This time I made sure I'd recorded the details correctly. Obviously you can apply more than once. The FAQ on the site don't really cover many possible questions, they could do with contact details for any queries.0

You could have problems if you still have the green one you were given last year. If you didn't turn it in when you left you will be on their books as still in the US and an overstayer.
If you still have it say so and I'll look up the procedure for getting things put right.0 -
Can anybody advise me on my situation. I was convicted of drink driving in 1996 as i was going to the USA i got a 10 year visa this has since run out. The question is do i need to apply for another one or will i be allowed in without one with the new visa waiver form ? Dont want to risk being turned round at the other end.
Thanks in advance
You didn't need a visa because of your drunk driving charge - it's not a crime of moral turpitude.
Therefore you still don't need one now and can use the VWP0 -

It does mention travel by sea - the procedure is as for travel by air.
If you click on any of the help options on the entry page it will take you to their FAQs and you can scroll to the relevant question0 -
I have read through that and it only mentions aircrafts and flight numbers.0

i'm sure they didn't ask for it! i remember thinking to myself that perhaps i wasn't supposed to still have them. I must have them in the filing cabinet somewhere opps are we going to have problems then? it was a package holiday so assume they would have recognised our passports etc being used once in and once out?0 -
Hopefully someone will be able to help me with this one.
I had a police caution at the age of 19 for a minor drug offence, how will this effect my chances of getting a Visa for the US?
Thanks,0 -

They usually staple them to your passport and then remove the detachable bit as you leave - can you see any light green cardboard stapled in with perforations on the edge - if yes, they've taken back the bit they need.0 -

I found this:
If arriving by air or sea, arrive aboard a signatory carrier, a carrier that signed an agreement guaranteeing to transport you out of the United States if you are found to be inadmissible or deportable.
which seems to indicate that sea travel is allowed0
