Thanks all for this brilliant thread. Everyone's so willing to share info about the great products they are using and the excellent prices that can be found. There's lots I will be looking out for to try now.
:j
Just an idea for all over. I use Boots Cucumber moisturising lotion as a body lotion as it's so inexpensive. It contains retinyl palmitate, vitamins and UV filters. For extra dry bits, the Lidl intensive anti wrinkle cream (in a dark blue tube) is cheap enough (about £2.89 for 100 ml) to use on the body as well as the face.
(I do change my products around a bit)

Just in Superdrug in Camden today - bought a lip/cheek stain which wasn't the MEMEME P.U.S.S.Y.cat one, but a 2True one - also an exact copy of Benefit Benetint - and even cheaper at £1.99!0

I have been using the Aldi day and night moisturiser for a couple of weeks now and sorry to rain on anyone's parade but I am not very keen on it. I loathe the smell, it is really cheap and nasty, but tried to ignore that. My skin is very dry and this just does not seem to do the job. I must need something a bit more heavy duty. Ideas please, guys!0

Thanks to whoever suggested the Asda face wipes - got some and they are ace, a good size, nice and thick - only 88p. Superb.
I got a voucher for Superdrug last week and got some of their own 'Natural High' anti ageing night cream - its really good, leaves my skin very plumped up and looking refereshed in a morning.
Can anyone recommend a good eye cream, I'm not getting on with the Superdrug replacement for Vitamin E gel - its too drying.0 -
For night cream I find Astral is great. Doesn't pretend to do anything it can't.
As for eye gel - boots do a good one (possibly Time delay?) - keep it in the fridge.0 -
I wanted to try mineral face powder as I had heard it was good for the skin.
Went to Superdrug and found one brand 8g for £7.99, one 10g for £9.99 (reduced from £13.99) - but then I found NYC pressed powder for £3.99 so bought that. It is a small compact with a small (not very good) brush. All the packs included a brush.
The powder has a nice feel to it and gives even coverage.
Does anyone else have experience with mineral based powders, are they really that much better for you?
Anyone know any cheaper brands that are good quality?0 -

I just came across another thread specifically on mineral make-up, but don't know how to post the link to it:o .
I've tried a few and Bare Escentuals is the best I've found. It's cheaper if you do a search and order it from the States. It lasts well - both on your face and in the pot as you really don't need much. I've had mine for over a year and I'm saving it for 'best' now as I'm just starting to run a bit low. It's very fine with an SPF of 15 and you can get starter kits quite reasonably.
Good luck with it.

Lilo Lilo has already been recommended by someone (on this thread) as a good reasonably priced one: http://www.lilylolo.co.uk/home.php0 -
Looking for some more recomendations for cheap facial scrub0
-
hollydays - I know I (and other people) have already recommended the Boots Time Delay facial scrub (I think its proper name is the Clarifying Facial Exfoliator) but in case you don't already know, Boots have currently got one of their "spend £5 and get a £5 skincare voucher" promotions on. The scrub costs £4.50 so the voucher makes it free, as long as you were going to be spending £5 in Boots anyway.
Get in there quick though - the promotion's been going over a week now, and I've already seen several stores where the scrub is out of stock.Operation Get in Shape
