I'm using Max Factor's Masterpiece at the moment (another money off coupon in my Bounty pack)

at the moment im using Rimmel Volume extend, it was in a clearence basket at the chemist lol. its verygood at doing the job of making lashes look gorgeous but it hasnt got much mascara in, its double ended so you only get hallf of each colour if you think about it. worth the 3.99 that i paid but not the full price which i think is 6.99. (dont quote me on that as im not definatly sure on full price).

lilmisskitkat, what is this bounty pack your talking about? sounds good whatever it is and how do i get one? lol :D i spend loads on make up, (mainly eyeshadow) and money off would be a real treat

Hi, I'm not lilmisskitkat, but you get a Bounty Pack from the hospital when you have a baby! At least I did if my memory serves me correctly...it had loads of freebies and coupons in it.

btw- I had a look on the Yves Rocher website for the Kohl pencil you recommended. Is it this one?: (called snow white but looks pink)

  • Yep, that's the one - it's called 'Neige' in French and it's not as purply as the it looks - and on the French website it's only 1E80!! Cheeky sods...

Yep - it would be lovely to get all those money-off coupons, but, err, probably not in itself a good enough reason to get pregnant :D:D

Beauty tip re face cloths: Don't forget to go to ebay and buy muslin sheets and cut each into 4 :T giving you 4 face cloths per sheet - around £3.99 + postage for 12 sheet = 48 cloths, so split with a friend or relative, or MSER :T :p Rather than £2 each...

Hi does anyone have the link to the muslin sheets you can get on E-Bay, I have had a look but can't find them.

    Thanks

I have, at last, bought some of the Aldi night cream to try and it's a gorgeous texture, really moist rather than some that are greasy, and it leaves the skin feeling lovely.

Have also tried their lipstick and matching lip liner sets, at £1.89 per set. They feel and look great too. What value.

Makes me think just how much the expensive brand companies must make on their mark up :(

I have bought and tried the Aldi Night Cream to and I am impressed too! Very good all round.:j

I have also been trying the Collection 2000 Illuminating Touch Concealer and have found it very good too!:T

    Thanks for the recommendations.

    Thanks Sarah.

A bit dearer, about £6-7 (though a bigger pot at 75ml and lasts ages), but for daytime Pond's Regener-Activ day treatment is excellent. It's also very moist, has a lovely texture, feels great on the skin and has the added bonus of having SPF 15 plus all the ingredients I look for. A definite recommendation and worth the cost IMO.

I like the Collection 2000 Plastique lip gloss, Candy Shimmer - has lots of little sparkly bits in it!

  • Hello all!

Have just bought myself a double ended mascara from Lidl - fab stuff! Makes my lashes look fuller and gives them a nice curl...and only cost £1.79! They also do a waterproof one for the same price. Would rather buy this than blow £8 on a branded mascara that does the same job.

Hope this helps anyone looking for a cheap double ended mascara :)

Just want to say the Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Butter as recommended by Babe1 is great! She very kindly sent me a pot to try- I've been using the more heavy duty Botanics Super Balm one at night and the Burt's Bees one during the day, as it sinks in and leaves no residue- important for someone like me who's job involves using their hands. My dry cuticle problem has now been well and truly sussed with these 2 products!

Interesting that people are mentioning the make-up from Aldi and Lidl. I was looking at the make-up in Lidl the other day and I thought the red lipstick was an absolutely gorgeous shade. Nearly bought some but my make-up bag is already overflowing...!!
