Lightweight...... you'll know you really [strike]have a problem [/strike]ahem, are taking a proactive approach when you pay money in & out of offset at least once a day
or is that just me
Seriously, the more often you make OP's the more focused you'll become - synergy or something clever like that....
:rotfl: I'd like to bet that you are far from the only person with such a 'pro-active approach' lol. I think I'd probably reach that stage too so it's probably a good job I don't have an offset. What I'd really love is to be able to see my mortgage account on line but my provider doesn't offer that service yet but are supposedly looking into it.
You are definately right about getting more focussed. I'm looking into the old stoozing at the minute...MFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

Just received a £10 refund from my credit card (somehow managed to overpay it doh!) so popped that into my savings account as I hadn't missed it. Now waiting for a £53.61 credit from my electricity supplier which should be here in a few days and a refund from the gas people for c.1000 units from my cross meter situation:eek: Mind you the gas refund is still at least 8 weeks off as they said it takes 12 weeks to resolve these situations:rolleyes:MFW Start Date 1.4.08. Thanks evab, you are not doing too bad yourself:D
My target for Op's this year is £2700 (started april this year) but I think I will come in at just over £3000 so I'm pleased about that. Next year is the biggy as I'm hoping to make at least £6000 in OP's and having had a play with my lovely spreadsheet this makes a big difference to what my mortage balance will be by the end of next year. It's great to look at how much I can bring my interest down by, I know it was £28 a day  when I started to to be honest I haven't updated that part of my signature since I started as although I'm calculating it on LS (lovely spreadsheet:o ) it's my own calcs so I'm going to wait for the next mortgage statement in January so I can compare with my figures and then I know the signature update will be accurate.
What I would really like to do is sell my BTL, it ticks over nicely and more than pays for itself so some days I think that's great but then other days I think how much equity I have sitting in it and how much I could reduce my mortgage by..... The MFW end date of 2018 that I have set myself is based on OP's only so if I sell the BTL it could change the date dramatically but with the way the housing market is at the moment I'm happy to let things stay as they are with the BTLMFW Start Date 1.4.08. I mentioned in an earlier post that I had cancelled an income protection policy that I no longer needed (should have cancelled it ages ago!). Anyway, I've received a letter this morning confirming that it has been cancelled and it mentioned that the units alreay allocated to my policy would still be managed. I was a bit mystifed by this and when I rang up to query it, it turns out that it wasn't just an IPP but that some of the money was invested in Unit Trusts (can't remember the financial advisor saying that but it was years ago..). the upshot is that it has a surrender value of £306.33 so all things considered with stock market etc and the fact that I would still have to pay a £1.40 per month sum to manage the units even thought the policy has been cancelled I've instructed them to surrender the policy and send the money to me.
I'm going to put it in my savings account as I'm still on track with the OP's I've committed to but plan to make an additional lump sum OP at the end of the year out of my savingsMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18
