Hi all
Tasks for today is to return M&S items and massage later in the day.
I'm also waiting for a £10 Boots voucher to arrive which was a small work related award. There's nothing from Boots that I need at the minute but I know it will come in handy soon.
I've just looked at my topcashback account and have £36.89 in it which is a mixture of pending and payable. Interestingly I can also see that a £5 friends referral is there too :j
I need to do a couple of other things too, namely call Br Gas again as it seems my tariff wasn't changed when I requested it a month or two ago. I also need to call BT & pay the annual line rental up front which gives a substantial discount (think c£40) I did this lady year for my mother and completely forgot to do my own but I've just been catching up with Tilly's thread which has reminded me, thanks Tilly!
Regards

lol TG, I thought it was a great typo
Yes, I've seen a few people say that they are struggling to get to grips with the IPad keyboad
It seems I'd inadvertantly ordered the M&S cardi's in the petite size which has proved a lucky accident as it means the arm length fits me, I know this is the opposite problem to you TG, I seem to remember that your on-line name is really representative and that like many of your country folk you are a lovely tall lady, quite the opposite to meMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Well I've had a productive couple of days and got several tasks out of the way
- Returns all done to M&S
- Couple of adminy things done at the bank (sadly not of the cheque paying in variety)
I've also spoken to Br Gas who have acknowledged their mistake in not changing my tariff two months ago. They have amended it now and backdated it to the correct date which is exactly what I wanted! They will also be sending out the electricity monitor which I'm quite excited about, what a saddo ay
For anyone who is interested I have moved to the on-line tarriff which gives a 4% discount to the standard until Jan 14. You submit your readings monthly either on-line or via a phone app then pay the full amount owing monthly by DD. The other thing I noticed is that you can pay monthly via debit or credit card. I noticed on Tillys thread something about paying your council tax monthly by credit card in order to get points/cashback etc so I was thinking I might pay my gas and electric via credit card in order to build up more cashback etc.
Currently I pay the gas in full quarterly via DD and make monthly payments of £18 to the electric. Although this was fine with me I think I'm going to prefer paying in full each month.
I've decided to wait another couple of weeks until I pay BT the annual line rental as I want to wait until I'm paid firstMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

After just posting about my Barclaycard I thought I would check out how many points I had and I had enough for a £10 voucher. This is a nice suprise as I don't use it often and the points system is rubbish since they changed it about a year ago. I've ordered a £10 M&S voucher which I can either use at some point either for myself or for a gift :jMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

Hi ATT, I'm petite too! also known as a short *ss!!!!!
I don't know how much trouble you have buying clothes, but I've discovered a fantastic petite designer called Karen Gillam. Her clothes are high street prices, but she's a small business woman based in Swindon (or somewhere like that lol) and you buy on line. But the amazing thing is when I get the clothes they fit!!
An amazing feeling :j

Hi Sepa, or should I say fellow short *ss :rotfl:
Thanks for the link and what a lovely range they seem to have too.:rotfl: I'm actually 5'3 and a half (5'4 in the mornings) so I think I might be too tall for their range, yay, how exicting, I've never been too tall for anything before :j:j That said I think I might order something to try it out and will definately pass the link on to some other shorties I know

In the last couple of months I've received two lots of perfume. Now I'm funny with perfume and can only wear certain ones so I was a bit worried about them. I've no way of knowing where they were bought or obtaining the receipt so went to a shop to have a sniff to see if I might like them, I didn't! To my amazement the shop said if they were still unopened, in cellophane etc they would exchange them for something I did like! I was amazed at this as it had never entered my head they might make this offer and I was just resigned to selling them or more likely giving them to charity.
To my further amazement (and dismay) the perfumes I'd been given totalled over £80. In the end I was only able to swap one as they shop I went to only stocked one of them but now I know shops might do this I can try my luck elsewhere. This has meant that I was able to change one of them for a perfume I do love which should have cost £37.50 :jMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

I must get some jobs done in a minute! I've spent far too long on here today but it's been really nice catching up on people's threads as usually I don't have enough time to come on here for a good old browse
I think I'm just feeling so frustrated at the moment as I'm not able to make my first OP of the year for another two weeks yet and I'm of course waiting to see what my salary will be now the tax saga is over.
I'm also feeling so angry with myself for having the stooze to reorganise (and therefore another handling fee of about 3-4%) at the end of March. In retrospect - isn't hindsight great... - I should have focussed far more of my energy and efforts on getting rid of this and in fact should have reduced my OP's and diverted the money to the stooze! Actually, sitting here now I'm thinking that this might be a really good thing to do for the next three months as if I do that I can get the balance down to somwhere between 2.5k and 3k and therefore pay less of a handling fee, grrrrr!
I'm watching a film at the moment while playing on laptop so once it is finished I'm going to leap, leap I tell you, into action and do at least an hour of sorting at my mother's house!MFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

Well done on swapping the perfume I didn't know they would do that, I agree its nice to get something you actually like I am the same. Also well done on the MS vouchers its worth having a look every now and then. Yes the troubles of beeing too short or too tall, I am lucky I fit Long Tall Sally's stuff expensive but often get it in the sales. Good luck with reorganising the finances sometimes you get it slightly wrong at a cost but then think of all the other things you have saved or made money from.Save £12k in 25 No 49
