Um no, I'm sitting here in summer clothes, looking at pictures of the snow in the uk on the television. It must be very cold there!

Are you a full grown Aussie then? We'll post you out some snow if you like :)

Yes I'm an Aussie, I'm half Pom though, my Dad is from West Ham but he came here when he was 8 years old...

My great grandmother and great grandfather on my Mum's side was Scottish, all my ancestors actually as far as I know come from the UK...I've traced the family on both sides to about the 1860's...

    Hi all

Unfortunately I don't have time for a full update - probably not until the weekend but I just wanted to report that I made an OP of £800 last week. I've updated my signature to reflect changes.

Also, I received my annual mortgage statement last week so I'm looking forward to going through it :j

Well, I've just finished going through my mortgage statement and it shows the following
    • Total credits £10459.24
    • Total debits £1327.44
When I compared it to my spreadsheet I was £39 and some odd pence out  Turns out I'd input the wrong figure for my Jan 09 normal monthly payment, the good news is it was in my favour :j

It feels like ages since I made the Jan OP but it was only 10 days ago, that means I can't make another for nearly 3 weeks, boohoo

This week I've paid £108 deposit on a holiday. It's about 10 years since I've had a summer holiday (I normally have a skiing holiday then a city break in the summer)

I'm afraid I haven't been at all MSE with this holiday and have spent £884 for a week  I'm telling myself that I work hard and deserve the holiday and it is in an absolutely beautiful hotel :o Actually the travel agent did give us a discount by matching the on-line price so the figure I'm paying has been reduced from £992. This does mean I will be paying less OP's than I'd planned for a couple of months this year but I'm really looking forward to it

A good holiday pays dividends in the benefits you gain from it; enjoy it and ensure you have one budgeted for 2011 too!
