    Hi SMF2 and Taka

Yikes, I know.... As I said i'm hoping lots will have to back and in some cases I've ordered dresses in two sizes as not sure of the fit. I rarely shop as I don't like it at all but as my mother says, when I shop I really shop!

I can't wear jeans or casual clothes to work and some of the items are certainly for work. I'm trying to make myself feel better by thinking that I got 12.5% discount (an offer the store was doing) and I've already returned items to the value of £120 as they weren't suitable or just not right. As another attempt at self justification  I spent approx £350 last year and about the same so far this year to date.

I'll keep you all posted about how the returns go....

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Ok, I guess I'm not properly awake yet. I read that as "Spent £1500 on a clothes line this week" :rotfl: Glad to hear you have a lot more to show for your money that a piece of twine!

Stuart has been very quiet on the subject )so far) perhaps my post has escaped his notice, or... he is still lying in a swoon and not yet fit to post his reply :rotfl:

  • Well, I had hoped to be giving you a clothes spend update but due to various delivery problems, (out of stock, wrong size and even wrong garment!) I still haven't been able to work out where I am yet. I have done lots of returns though - phew - and so far have returned over £500. In addition I always forget about a Christmas fund I pay into so have got £240 coming from that I hadn't banked on. I've now got one more delivery due then I should know what the final damage is.

All my share monies have now been debited from my account for the Rights Issue and I spent most of last night trying to whip my share empire into submission and get my records to match the on-line accounts. I've now got it down to a 250 share difference and I've got a good idea where that is so should have it sorted by the end of the week

I'll be making my first OP to the MFiT T2 Challenge this Friday so I'm quite excited about that :j

  • Hi all

I've made my last OP of the year and added a few extra pennies to bring balances under the next thousand; I made a total OP of £557.71
    • £12.15 to the repayment part so that the balance would stand at £86,999 :rotfl:
    • £545.56 to the IO part so that the balance will be £84,987 at the end of the year
    • Above OP's mean that the overall balance at the year end should be
    • £171,987
    • This means total OP's this year of £5470.26 which is only 78% of my original target but I understand the reasons why :o
    • Capital reduction of £8068.28 in 2009
    • Total OP's since I started in April 08 of £10,320.26
    • Total capiltal reduction since I took the mortgage in Dec 06 of £18012.15

  • Spent £10,500 bying Lloyds Rights Issues shares. Now before you think I've been holding out on you about how much savings I have I haven't! the £500 is from my savings and then I've borrowed £10k from my parents
    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::o:o:o:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Share update, big gulp here, I'm uncomfortable about having borrowed this money from my parents so yesterday I took £10,000 on 0% from one of my c/c with a fee of £400. The cash should be in my account next week and then I'll pay them back and sit on the shares for a bit longer

wow you are very lucky to be able to borrow that amount from your parents never mind on a 0% cc. Hope you are doing the right thing, shares really scare me, dont think I could dabble in them. Like to see the results from others that have made loads from them though.
    Good luck

(£1500 on clothes  like others I dont think I have spent that in the last 5 years on all my family!!)
