    Mortgage-free Glee!
    yipee.gif for base rate reductions:D

    Well done you:D
  • Thanks SMF2, yes these are interesting times indeed with base rate changes - I'm just going to pop across in a min to the thread/poll Financial Bliss started about how many people are benefitting from rate changes and whether this mirrors what the press say?

Can't wait for my mortgage statement to come in, I think it is normally mid-Jan, I wished it came more often!

    Hi all

Just a quick one as I'm hard at work but thought I'd take a five minute break to come on here;)

Just sold £30 of M&S vouchers that I din't need to a neighbour. Also, wait for it, wait for it, Br gas have rang this morning to now say that my meter details are correct. We've now just got some tricky admin bits to sort out and then hopefully I will know how much I'm in credit by etc and I'm also expecting some compensation from them.

Next OP not due until Monday so will be able to do my favourite monthly update then

PS Just realised that my OP next week will take the interest only part to approx £89, 900, this is the first time it will have ever been below 90k so it will be lovely to start and track the figures with an eight in front:j

Also just spoken to C&G to get new Feb payments following latest base rate changes (couldn't wait for the letter:rolleyes: ) and it will mean a further £61 reduction so all to the good for the OP's. They also said still nothing really happening with making their mortgage accounts visible on line but said more and more people are asking for this service

Well done on getting the I.O. under £90k, and the future new OP.
  • Hi all

Just made my first OP of this year:j Paid £500 in which is 7% of my £7000 target this year although I do have a stretch target of £10, 000 and this last figure ties into what my plans are in terms of joining the Financial Bliss / Maz123 MFIT T2 challenge

Hope you are all doing well yourselves with the OP's. I'll be updating my sig next week after I've called for a balance etc.

PS, I'm also hoping to make a further small OP this month but will have to see how it goes
