Hi all, stayed last week in a lovely site called Ballyness Caravan Park - outside Bushmills. It is one of the nicest (and cleanest) parks I have ever stayed in. 5 star site, with pitches nicely layed out, spotless toilets, showers & family rooms - excellent library & games room - even with Internet access - so still got my MSE fix !! Some lovely walks around duck ponds also. This is one park that we will definetely be staying at again. :j

Hi Everyone
We have booked Carnfunnock for Easter and Tollymore for Halloween. Our fellow caravanners have also booked Antrim for May Day weekend - as we are so close we just visit them and head home at the end of the day. We have also booked Tollymore for our first weekend of the year 30/31st of this month.
Looking forward to hearing where everyone else if off to.Sarah0 -

Did you go in person to book Carnfunnock? My friend went and it was already fully booked for Easter but they did get Halloween. Apparantly a lot of people there booking for friends and booking in block so although the queue wasn't overly long by the time they reached the desk Easter was gone!0 -
I no longer caravan anywhere at Easter weekend due to past experiences with sites not being ready and facilities not fully functioning, greedy site owners packing units in to overflowing, traffic and finding in some parts of Ireland that many restaurants I would like to visit are closed. To me, it's the worst weekend of the year and one for staying at home!0

Hiya
This is our first full season of caravaning. We bought our van in June last year. We've managed to book 4 weekends at Carnfunnock, 3 weekends in Ballyness and Halloween at Ballyness, Easter and Mayday weekend at Rushin House, Belcoo (fantastic site), August Bank Holiday at Delamont, 2 weekends at sixmilewater and 3 weeks in July touring about England.
Can't wait for our first weekend at end of March. I love it and just wish we had taken it up years ago!

Yes I went in person. Their answer machine had a message instructing you to call at the office in person on Friday 2nd or phone the office on the following Monday. I was there at 8.55am for 9am opening and I was number 13 in the queue. Two hours and £83 later I was booked for Easter - there were only 3 spots left after I had booked mine. One guy came in and booked nine sites for Easter - questionable whether this should be allowed but he paid the site fees in full for all nine so I suppose Larne boro council were happy. Last year when we were booking The Tourist Complex at Benone for Easter they introduced a policy of 'one person, one booking' and I think this was fairer, if not so convenient for some.Sarah0 -
Thats not really fair is it ..we havent carfunnock booked yet we wont get there untill august so i am hoping we shall be lucky~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. Unfortunately we have realised over the last few years that 1st Jan for forest sites and 2nd Jan for all the other sites is the date you MUST be booking all the popular date you might need, Easter, July week etc.. If you leave it later than this you won't get in unless through cancellation..0
