I bet all your neighbours are living on credit and breaking themselves each month.
Mine is an X5 with private plate:rotfl: :rotfl: Those were the days when I had money, but do you know what Im still the same person............. actually no Im not , IM BETTER NOW.0 -
Dear Diane
I am new to this forum but I can already see how massive the support is.
I just wanted to say that your post moved me, and I can relate so strongly to your feelings. Due to financial difficulties I have lost my two girls (they have gone to live with their Dad as I could no longer afford the rent on my property) and I am living 30 miles from them. I took them home tonight after a weekend visit and it breaks my heart every time.
I am yet to start dealing properly with my debts, but am trying to look at bankruptcy as a positive rather than negative thing. And like lots of things that have a positive outcome (maybe a bit like childbirth - giving birth to a new, debt-free life - sorry if a bit deep!!) the process involved can be very painful and difficult.
It must be really hard if you and your OH are not able to to deal with this together at the moment. But you are both stressed and I am sure it will pass. Lean on friends in the meantime...and you can't go far wrong with the people on here!!
Thinking about you, and knowing what it's like..

Hey ITBS. Debt issues really focus the mind to what is important. I sent my TOTR Merc back in Feb 08 & now have our old 01 plate Skoda Octavia (managed to keep private plate...for now) but at least I own it...every nut & bolt!! (under 2k of course) Thats somehow quite a good feeling!0 -
I shop at Llidl too, and I dont give a stuff who knows about it
:T I would rather have spare cash in my pocket than 'keeping up appearances' . Although I have to say when I went to the loo at my mums the other day it WAS nice to have 'soft quilted paper' for a change
.................
BUT seriously, Diane, come the 29th May, your financial mess will be over and so will the stresses that are related to it. No more, letters, calls or not wanting to get up in the morning, no more worrying where you will get money to cover the bills etc. Im not saying its easy, it's not, but believe me, when you come out of that court, its like a weight being lifted.....honest!
I know it must be terribly sad to loose the home you worked so hard for, but who is to say that in time this wont be the case againJust think too, the money you earn from May on, will be for you NOT for loans, cc, store cards, bank charges etc, whatever it was that you had
bit by bit things will fall into place, like it has already been said, just give it a little time. Dont look behind at the past, dont blame each other for things that have happened, its done and its got you where you are today and the only thing you can do, is deal with it the best way you can, and like thousands of others, you have decided to take the route of BR. :T (God I'm sorry if that is sounding patronising, its not supposed to, this is my 'rallying up the troops' mode lol)
Just remember although you feel alone in all this your not.................you've got us!(Mind you Fermi, phil and BLTN can be a bit of a bad influence :rotfl:)
Take care and keep chatting0 -
Glad to hear your trying to sort things.
jaffa cakes solve so many problems, they should be available on prescription:DThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
