Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Happy Birthday Michelle!

Morning all, just got off the phone to the council as ex brought my council tax bill with him on Saturday  Stupid post office saw his name on it so redirected it even though its quite clear on the envelope that its the council tax bill and it had MY name on it. I've told him from now on take anything like that which gets re-directed into work with him and scan it in then email me so I have the chance to sort it out without having to wait for him to come down. Wouldn't mind the bill is dated the 12th March, and was dispatched 2 weeks later so I've got to wait now until they processed a new bill for me and then I should get a cheque to reinburse me for the payment I've made, and probably the one I will have to make this month as well as it's set up as a direct debit  Thankfully though I should have automatically got the single person discount of 25% which drops this years bill by £200+ That'll make a difference to my finances when I eventually get a job :D

  • Morning all

Did very well with my first week of flying last week and am hoping to improve this week as I am off work (school hols). Not sure how much ds (21 months) will let me do though as he is very clingy today and just wants to snuggle on the sofa. Keeps coming to drag me by my finger saying "sit there"

Have no plans today and tomorrow so am planning to have a good sort out when ds has his nap (if I don't sneak up there for one with him (I use the 6 month pregnant as an excuse;)

Just saying, today I am starting.

I feel so low, the house is a mess, there is stuff everywhere, absolutely at wits end.

Drank six litres of diet coke yesterday, which isn't good.

Yesterday we could smell gas and Transco came out and had to wade through piles and piles of ironing. I was so ashamed.

Won't be reading many posts because this thread is a complete chronivore, and I need to be doing stuff. Good challenge today - I have three flights of carpeted stairs. DS freaks at the sound of the hoover, may have to bribe him with chocolate.

Just like to say thank you to Pigpen for posting this list - I need something to get me going.

Added to the list - change all the beds and towels and washing up sponge (do every Monday), write thank you letters, birthday cards and get ready to post, ebay at least ten items, finish making nets to hang next to front door (old ones disintegrating, no spares, new wires already up, material cut, just need to find & finish).

I think I have hit rock bottom.
    Always another chapter

corr - i will be fat if i eat all that cake - i might look 8 months pregnant or something :rotfl:

Thank you guys for the birthday wishes. Just got a text from another work friend to say she is popping in on the way home from work, so good job it is living room day and i did a good bit of it yesterday.

DH just showed me a really strange text that my sister had obviously sent to him by mistake. She sounded as though she was very depressed, so i guess i should ring her today too. Also, old work colleague is having major surgery tomorrow, so should give him a ring too. So i think it might be quite a busy day.

Quite a lot scrubbed off the big list on page 1. Kettle just boiled if anyone wants one. I am off to make a start as my house will not get less slovenly if i don't potter at it. 15 minute flying followed by 15 minutes at the puter i think, and that will make me happy.

    Michelle, x

Morning all - I'm one of those with the phobia but it did make me think of shirley too.

Not quite caught up on the thread yet. Being an oldie I am doing the kitchen today - it is the room that needs it the most and well it is Monday and the thought of coming down to a nice kitchen for the first day of term and pack up's tomorrow is very appealing. I've made a start so will do a bit more then we have heaps of little jobs to get:

    DS1 get his shoes back
    DS2 drop friends phone back
    DS2 bank and shops
    Redirect letter
    Post office parcel and letter
leaflets collect and drop to school
    DS1 orthod

Plus my other list to work on need to find that now.

    Dusty's left overs

    Outside

    sow remaining seeds
    tidy fence border
    plant up mint roots

    Inside
    French cream email sent

spend 15-30 minutes filing that paperwork!!

Organise DS1 for his trip nearly done
    ironing started - poor effort
    Kids thank you notes
    M&S return
    Tesco CC vouchers

_party_ Happy birthday Michelle_party_ Hope you have a lovely day.

Kids at school and i've sorted the bills for today well except one who's system is down.

Need to take a trip to the filling station to drop of a mobile phone, OH found it last night so looked up home on it and got through to the mum who was shocked that the phone was found and being returned, it's her son's who is at uni so that will save him buying another one. My good deed will be done for the day.:rotfl:

Right cuppa and then start shifting furniture.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
