Hi everyone,
I have been trying to keep up with the house but still no better so feel like it looks really bad... I have been using the time when I feel a little better for posting ebay stuff
DH's birthday today so I need to make a cake too...
MOAM - sending lots of +vibes your way - hope they help
Johanne - +vibes for your FIL too. Re mouse - we have a PestX plug in thing for the house (which touch wood) seems to work. We got it from homebase. Although we have a trap where the pipes come up to the kitchen sink as that (I think) is the only way left for them to get in. Huge fan of gas and air here and TENS machines worked for me... Arnica tablets are great for reducing brusing - so are helpful post birth. I think diamorphine is what they use for 1st births for some reason (pethadine for 2nd etc). I had it with DD1 although it had worn off by the time she arrived and I talked the ears off the poor student midwife that was with menot sure if it was nerves or the injection. Although it did make lo really sleepy and so she wouldn't feed - which meant I had to stay in hospital for a couple of nights (when I had planned on going home asap)
Chunky79 - Glad everything went well for your DS.
Hugs to everyone else - I have probably forgotten loads
Sudafed time, and then I can choose which room of doom to sort properly 1st...0 -
Mudbath - your cake sounds scrummy. Off to the garden to measure out the lawn feedThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Dusty Kitten - thanks that sounds delish!!May Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200

Well my loo is now painted and the bathroom cleaned.. I will fling harpic down the pans on the way to bed tonight as they are a bit grotty.
Just having a cuppa before I go collect the monsters.. and I need to get dinner in when I get back and have a shower while it cooks and have to be out by half 6.. I CAN do this!!! I've got the gloss to do in the loo which can wait until tomorrow.. I refuse to clean the childrens rooms they are disgusting so it may be a case of stand over them and yell all weekend lol.. so I'll get the gloss done instead.. it won't tale long it is only a little bit.. but I may get carried away and touch up the stairs.
I have a picture to hang in the loo and I am going to trawl the charity shops in the way back from school in the morning to see if I can find a mirror to go in there.. I have 2 huge ones for th elanding but I think a smaller one is needed in the loo.. so one can check ones teeth and hair while washing ones grubby mitts!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Thanks for the advice on the TENS machine etc.. we been told only the 4 pad ones are allowed by our hospital not so cant use the £15 machines from llyods (Few of us asked! lol) BUT i checked out prices earlier and managed to find a rental one for £27 with DHL priority delivery so should have it tomorrowLets just hope i dont go into labour tonight otherwise it will have been a bit of a waste of money! :rotfl:
Still no news on FIL.... OH got to the hospital 4 hours ago and text me at 12:41 to say still didnt know what was happening but minute he did he'd let me know..... so still waiting and hoping for good news.
Having to take regular little breaks as my back is killing me.. but not baby pains.. my scoliosis is playing up - probably with the tension - so between my shoulders is killing me!
Oh and re Mice: Them plug things dont work here... must be the cheeky scouse mouses attitude!Actually seen a mouse sit next to the damn thing! :rotfl: I had an infestion last year so quite used to dealing with them now... mars bars and old fashioned traps!

Keep getting logged out.
Derailed today, but struggling to keep going doing something so going to be a good girl, log out and try and sort out the huge mound of ironing that has taken over the room formerly known as dining.
So - mentally thanking everyone that I couldn't before I was logged out. :mad:Always another chapter0 -

Afternoon
Where has the day gone?
DD has a virus, not tonsilitus as I thought. Looks like she'll be off school for a couple of weeks. I'm waiting for her guidance teacher to phone me back. I need to know what happens for resits. If there is such a thing for S3?
Things went quite well at the solicitors. Thank you MudbathI'm not hopeful on getting my £9k back, but hopefully she'll get him to increase his payments. We'll see
Cant really do any flying due to my ankle and knee, so will meal plan instead. DD is watching about 40 episodes of NCIS that I sky+d for her. Oh and I was really naughty when I was in Edinburgh at the solicitors. I went into Cath Kidson's shop :j :j :j I only bought a button tin (£5). I could have been sooooooo much worse0 -
I can't clear the study cos there is Ebay stuff everywhere and its stressing me out now. Now I remember why I don't do Ebay its a pain. Anyway that being said I did just make almost £80 on just stuff that was laying around doing nothing so at least it is shifting. Just listed some more things and got some more to put on over the next few days. Learned a lesson though, stagger the finishing times. I have loads of parcels to do now!!
Pigpen - well done on getting the painting done
Mudbath - that cake sounds amazing, piccie please
Soapie - I thought there was something wrong with my internet, so I am glad its not just me who can't see busterMay Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200 -
