Johanne with DS1 I was induced 5 weeks early and given an epidural. I had pre-ecclampsia and was told that the epidural lowers blood pressure so it was that or a c section! I was so swollen that I was also told it wouldn't be much pain releif so take gas and air. I didn't touch the gas and air as I don't like the drunk feeling. My legs were dead but I still felt all the pain! It wasn't that bad though. And the last bit where you have to get down to buisness, I fell asleep between contractions! Was great, would look down and the docs mouth was moving but I had no idea what he was saying. Woke up, did my bit, fell asleep, before I knew it there was an alien on my chest. I had flallen asleep for an hour after the birth too, slept through the placenta being delivered and DS1 being resusitated.
Stop worrying about what may happen, you can get carried away with fairies without any drugs like I did! See how you are when it happens. 12 hours afterwards if all goes well you will be up and about, if a bit delicate! Oh and as nobody warns you about this, first time you stand up after the birth, you get a kind of 'flooding' situation, be warned. Use pads in inventive ways when you go to the loo and don't drink coffee or fizzy juice for a few days as it makes you urine extra burny.0 -
I've just had my gas/elec bill and I'm in credit again :rotfl::rotfl: only by £4 but still credit
They're still going to up the DD but only by £5 so I can manage that :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning
Been and done 2 hrs at a new customer's house, it was fascinating as the lady is almost 90 yrs old and has lots of stories from the olden days, loved every minute of it. Make do and mend is her mantra she told me she couldn't even remember when she got her stairs carpet it's that old, and she had old cut up sheets for cloths :T
Got an hour till I have another customer so just gonna have a brew and potter, littley phoned to ask if she could have horse riding lessons....as they do.... grandads taking her today but wanted to know if I could take her the other times, he's paying! Suppose so
Luby I'll hold you to that holiday you're paying for if you win the lottery0 -
