Most phones have an some from of PDA function it is just a matter of how organised do you want your organiser to be. Orange are currently selling the SPV c500 on PAYG for £149 delivered - this will have you very organsied with synch to MS Outlook and the the abilty to use 3rd party software. It will sell out quickly at that price.0

have a look at https://www.e2save.co.uk as they always have a lot of offers on. I have a nokia 7600 (?) on 3 and a blackberry on t-mobile, both have organisers:)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Hi,
I'm on Orange and have just done an upgrade. I've had a Motorola MPX200 for a year now, and though it is a useful phone, it is just so slooooooow. It is based on MS Smartphone 2002. Having found this very good for it's calander (full Outlook sync for dates and tasks), I ordered a SPV C550 on a free upgrade. It was fast and seemed to be very good. However, they had made the keypad so darn small that it is impossible to use (the distance from the top of the 8 key to the bottom of the 2 key is 15mm compared to 20mm on a Sony K700). I sent it back the same day on their 7 day trial offer. I've now ordered a Nokia 6230i as this seems to have a good calander and to do list as well, and it is meant to sync up with Outlook. In the local Orange store, they had some working phones on a display and you could have a play with the handset. It is a pity I didn't get a chance to look at the C550 before I bought it.

I have a 6230i and am now selling my loox 720. It also has push to talk enabling you to use your phone as a walkie talkie -- Why, I do not see what the benefits of this are, can anyone enlighten me or is it just a geek thing.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.
Terramundi weighs 8lb 5oz0 -

Do you know of similar handsets?I dont have time to go to any shops,so I have to buy online,so I need to be very clear about this before I place an order.
In the meaniwhile let me through the other link Edinburghlass has posted.
Thanks

Hi,
The size of the keypad on the 6230i was slightly bigger than the SE 750 and miles bigger than the C550.
I just remembered that I took a look at all of the makers websites before buying, and was able to download manuals both from Orange and the phone makers sites. Orange also had a 3d phone play thing as well (IE only).
Keyboard size, save the pic from the Orange handset pages (the ones with the sizes on) and then use the Windows image browser to compare them as you can quickly scroll between pics. The 6230i keyboard is miles bigger than the C550.

Actually, I am back to square one-I havent found a handset yet.I think the problem is I dont understand the technical terms and abbreviations and short forms people use so abandoned the thread I thought I would go through, also it is too long with relevant and irrelevant matters.I spent four hours browsing and I cannot figure out what has an organiser.
Wish someone could explain to me in simple words what I should be looking for. I would like a handset where I can keep a diary.I do not understand what PDA means.I cannot figure out which handset has a calender/diary.Also I will sincerely appreciate if someone can give me the names of the make or model of the handset.I do not intend to use it to email or send photo messages,I just need it to keep a diary of appointments,as plain as that.meher0 -
To be honest, if thats all you want you can take your pick of any of the current handsets. Virtually every recent phone has a diary function. My old 3510i had a perfectly adequate diary so I can't imagine any of the new phones today won't have one.
Depends on what your budget is and what you like the look of.No reliance should be placed on the above.0
