You can use free software for sipgate/xlite and voipbuster.

Hi. Has anyone successfully got a USB phone to work with their X-lite/Sipgate/Voipbuster combination?
I currently use a mic/headphone combination but would like to upgrade to a dedicated phone for voip.
I have heard some phones don't ring when an incoming call is received, only through the PC speakers.
Any advice on makes/models/prices of phones that other moneysavers have been able to configure would be appreciated.0 -

I would only recommend buying an actual phone is if you were buying it for use with a router and voip rather than software on a pc.
The reason for this is that a headset does a good, if not better job than an actual phone itself. I have a USB voip phone but never use it beacuse, simply, the headset is easier to use as I alreayd use that anyway!
They also can be quite tricky to configure.
That's just my advice.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

How about X-Ten's eyeBeam softphone?
"Xten's long awaited Video SIP softphone application is now available. Supporting open standards for VoIP, Video and Instant Messaging."
Has anyone been able to set it up with voipbuster's settings ?
Just wondering if voipbuster supports the sending the video along with the call, or is the image piggy-backed onto the voice as it is sent.0 -
Just wondering if anyone can help.
I have x-lite set up with voipbuster and sipgate. When i recieve calls i can hear the other person fine, however when i make calls (this is all through x-lite) i cannot hear the person im calling. If i close x-lite down and call through voipbuster i can hear the person i am calling just fine.
Is there something wrong with my settings? Any help would be really goodThanks

I have the same problem. If I leave my settings unchanged and try later it works fine. I suspect it is when voipbuster servers are overloaded.
Anyone else any ideas? Before you buy Google Nest or British Gas Hive check out ESPproMon the Android and iOS Smartphone app that helps you build the same system from just £30.0 -
